Friyay

~Andy’s POV~
“You’re cut off.” Emily said flatly over Videochat.

I pulled myself up from the floor, the chair rolled away and I fell again. So I pulled myself up using the desk, finished the rest of a can of beer to even out the shots and announced, “Okay now I’m cut off.”

“Let’s go to bed.” Emily sighed.

“I’m just gonna lay here for a minute.” I transferred the call to my phone and lay on the floor next to the computer.

“Andy.” She sighed.

“I had too much to drink, I know.” I rolled my eyes.

“It’s not that. There’s something I have to tell you.” She bit her lip hesitantly.

I looked at the phone and forced a smile. “Give me a minute.” Suddenly, I was interrupted by a knock on the front door.

“Who’s coming over at this time of night?” Emily said with concern.

“I don’t know but I’m not answering it.” I rolled onto my side and propped the phone up on my outstretched arm.

When I heard a key in the door and saw who was standing before me I knew I’d probably passed out and now I was having the worst nightmare.

~Olivia’s POV~
Of course Andy would be drinking it was Friday, or Friyay as he likes to hashtag it. “You leave the key under the fichus like you always did.” I announced as I flung the door open. I took a step inside of his house knowing his parents were away and surveyed the room for his girlfriend on the phone. “Where is she?” I smirked.

“You can’t just break in here.” He chuffed, ignoring me.

I laughed and grabbed his phone, ignoring him as I looked Emily in the eye. “Did you know the bar my boyfriend’s gig was at last night posts event pictures online?” I felt my eye twitch.

“Hello Olivia.” Emily spat my name out bitterly on the other end of the call.

“Hi sweetie.” I paused and flashed my best warning grin. “Guess what I noticed in the background of one of the pics?” I’d lightened every photo and studied each pixel like a federal agent until I found a pic of her kissing Jinxx, then I watched the hashtagged videos of every band playing that night until I found a video of her making out with Ashley.

“You were kissing Jinxx.” I beamed.

“It’s not what it looks like.” Emily said.

“Wait, what?” Andy attempted to pull himself together.

“You.” I said maliciously. “Were KISSING. MY. BOYFRIEND.”

“Emily wouldn’t do that. She’s with me.” Andy barked angrily. “Also, get out of my house!” He added with great annoyance.

“Relax. I came by to repay the money you loaned me when Jinxx and I had our fight.” I pulled the money from my pocket, showed Emily, and passed it to Andy.

“You did WHAT?” Emily barked.

“He rescued me when I needed him.” I rolled my eyes. “That’s what Andy DOES.” I added, watching her face contort into unbelievable anguish.

“I can explain.” Andy raised a hand.

“I’m sure he’ll explain later.” I scoffed dismissively.

“I didn’t kiss Jinxx, but I did talk to him about your comments on my photos.” She began to smile as though she were about to win this fight.

I was already on my phone pulling up the video of her making out with Ashley in the mosh pit. I paused the video and zoomed in to flash the scene toward her screen. “If I were you I’d think carefully about what you’re about to say Emily.” I giggled.

“You wouldn’t.” She winced.

“I have a few choice words to say to Andy now and I don’t think you need to hear them.” I crouched on the floor next to Andy and held the phone up selfie style with our faces together. “Say bye Andy.”

“I’m not talking to you.” Andy spat each word out angrily.

“That’s right Olivia. We have nothing to say to you. Thank you for paying him back, you can leave his house now.” Emily attempted.

I blinked with annoyance. “Andy can you hold my phone for a sec?” I began to pass it to him; the screen still paused on the video of Emily being a traitor.

“No!” She yelled. “Don’t show him! Please!”

“What’s going on?” Andy reached for my phone with concern but I locked the screen before passed it to him, pushing the stiletto of my heel into the top of his foot hard so that Emily would think he was reacting to the picture. “Why are you doing this?!” Andy yelled at me as my shoe began to break skin.

I ended the Videochat and laughed. “Relax nerd.” I grabbed my phone and tossed his into my purse the second he looked away. “Come on, you need to sleep.”

“I’m not going to bed with you!” He yelled, his voice cracking.

“Pfft!” I laughed. “I’m back with Jinxx dumbass, don’t flatter yourself.” I crouched down again to throw his arm around my shoulder and stood as his support beam until he could clumsily walk me to his room.

“Why are you with Jinxx again?” Andy said angrily from his bed, hair covering his face with the irritation of an enraged puppy.

“Look, I went a little insane after the whole ultrasound thing but things are okay now, we’ll talk it out when he’s home from his tour.” I sat next to him on the bed, stroking his hair out of his face, rubbing a thumb along his eyebrows and watching him fight to stay awake.

“I’m sorry Andy.” I whispered the second he fell asleep.

His eyes shot open and the angry puppy returned. “Sorry doesn’t count!” He barked.
“Shhhhhhh.” I soothed.

He furrowed his brow. “I’m not even tired.” He began raging again to which I shushed him, stroked his hair and waited for him to settle down to near slumber.

“Thank you for the money.” I paused and sighed. “I truly wanted to say I’m sorry. You don’t need to accept it and I don’t expect you to forgive me Andy.”

I was so busy trying to control my emotions that I didn’t notice his azure eyes glaring up at mine not with hatred but with hurt. I think I could handle him hating me a lot easier than seeing him hurt. “I hate you so much.” He said with volition.

I laughed the words, “No you don’t.”

His face broke into a crazed smile. “I do though, I actually do.”

Still laughing I pulled him closer to face me, burying his head in my chest. “Look, I know you’re hurt and I’m sorry for your pain.” I began to cry despite myself.

“Still hate you.” His muffled voice rang out.

“Oh grow up.” I rolled my eyes. “You could never hate another person. You don’t have it in you.”

“You don’t know anything about me.” He pulled away and glared at me. He was doing his thing where he acts like he’s angry but he really wants me to love him and shower him with affection. I could’ve had him; I could’ve tasted his vodka tainted kiss and sought out the breakup snuggles I deserved. But angering Emily was enough for the night and that’s probably what she expected of me. I’m sure after she reveals the nasty things I said about her in our online comment war to Andy he’ll likely never speak to me again.

I tried to anticipate the right thing to say to his angry but adorable face. He didn’t want apologies, he needed someone to be there for him and when I realized that he didn’t want that someone to be me I felt kind of hurt. “Maybe you’re right.” I ran my hand down his arms and stood up. “Maybe we never really knew each other.” I took his phone out of my purse, letting him see that I’d intended to steal it and handed it to him.

“You are SO messed up.” He laughed.

“And you love it.” I shrugged. “Goodnight Andy.” I turned his light off and left the room.

I paused outside of his room and stood in the hallway, unlocked my phone and stared at the screen for a second, still paused on the video of Ashley and Emily making out in a moshpit.

“Night Ollie.” Andy suddenly said from behind me in a deep alluring tone.

I gasped in surprise and dropped my phone; the video began to play after it hit the ground. I scrambled to pick it up before he saw.

“That’s funny.” Andy said. “Looked like Emily.”

“No it doesn’t.” I locked my phone as he reached for it. “Andy. No.”

“Your lockscreen still has the same password.” His intoxicated grin turned serious as the video played. “That IS Emily.”

“Andy stop it.” I grabbed at my phone; he held it higher in the air than I could reach even wearing heels.

“That’s Ashley.” He replayed it. “You knew about this?”

“It’s not what it looks like Andy, stop watching it.” I yanked my phone away and dropped it in my purse.

“That’s exactly what Emily said before you ended our call.” He rubbed his hand across his cheek and covered his mouth, looking slightly angry. “No.” He squeezed his eyes shut.

“Jinxx said she was super drunk that night.” I lied. “He probably got her drunk just like he did to me.” Also a lie.

“Thank you for showing me that.” His head bowed and returned to his room.

“Andy?” I called after him. “There’s probably a perfectly good explanation.” No response. “Andy talk to her. She didn’t mean it, I know she wouldn’t do that to you.” I tried to undo the damage of the video with my words but it was too late. I turned off the lights and left his house, replacing the key under the fichus.
