~Olivia’s POV~
Amelia and I have been best friends for as long as I can remember, every time we went somewhere together people assumed we were twins until we were seven and Amelia hit a growth spurt but I didn’t.We took classical ballet lessons together and when she won the medal for Most Graceful Dancer in our class I begged my mom to pay for private tutoring, I had to be better than her.

When I was picked for a solo in our group recital I remember seeing the crushed look on Amelia’s face as she hugged me and told me that I deserved to win. She didn’t have to know how hard I worked.

I placed second in girl’s 9-12 solo and Amelia’s mom told me that failure existed to teach us to work harder. It took everything in me not to laugh in her face, I wasn’t about to take life advice from the mom of somebody who didn’t even get picked for solo.

Amelia was the first girl to get a boyfriend in seventh grade; it was like ballet all over again. She was taller and prettier than me, she had everything I wanted and she was always so freaking nice. I deliberately tripped her in the cafeteria once, spaghetti went flying all over her and all she did was pile her stuff back on the tray then apologize for getting sauce on my shoes. It was pathetic and I had to save her from herself.

She’d been in love with her boyfriend for months and in eighth grade she told me she was going to give him her v-card. There was no freaking way she was going to get laid before me so I stole her boyfriend. I’ve been with Andy for 5 years now and I’ve been tired of him for about four and a half of them. Don’t fall for it when people tell you to marry your best friend, Andy is just like Amelia. Would you want to marry somebody that’s taller, prettier and happier than you are?

“Goodnight Ollie.” Andy hung up on me tonight. Who does he think he is? I called him back and he ignored it. I called him again and he ignored it again so I left him a message.

“Hey babe, I think our call was disconnected. Perfect timing! You remember Chris from high school right? I’m meeting him to work on a lighting assignment, love you, bye.” Of course he remembered his best friend; I laughed and shut the phone off.
