Love or Infatuation

Saturday.


"He wants to fuck you." Kat says falling onto her bed.

"He wants to what?" I'm not ready for sex, what the fuck?

"Sammy don't start panicking about this, take it as a compliment. Andy really likes you and wants to be your first."

"He didn't exactly say sex, he just said he wants more."

"Which implies sex."

"Kat I'm not ready to have sex, I'm not even seventeen."

"Sam, my first time happened when I was your age and it was amazing. Don't get all worried about it."

"He wants me to call him this weekend."

"Then do it, I'll help you."

"Okay." I take out his number and dial it into my phone, then I put it on speaker phone. Kat picks up a notepad and a marker. He picks up on the third ring.

"Hello?" He asks.

*Hi this is Sam, you wanted me to call*, Kat writes.

"Hi this is Sam, you wanted me to call." I say.

"I'm glad you did. Are you doing anything tonight?" He asks.

*Not really*

"Not really." I say.

"You should come over to my place." He says.

*Sure, pick me up at eight*

"Sure, pick me up at eight." What?! "I mean-"

"I'll be there at eight, bye." He hangs up.

"What the fuck Kat!" I yell.

"You'll thank me later, we should go to your house to get ya ready for your date." She says.

"I hate you."

"You love me."

Kat and I ride our boards back to my house and rummage through my closet.

"You don't have any sexy clothes do you?" She asks.

"You do realize who you're talking to right?" I ask.

"Let me cut this black dress of yours." She holds it high.

"No way, that's my dress for junior prom. Find something else."

"What about this?" She holds up my light blue dress from the second grade.

"I haven't worn that since I was seven."

"Yeah I remember, you used to trip over it. Now it's a nice knee length."

"How are you sure it'll even fit?"

"You're thinner than a pencil, it'll fit."

I change into the dress and put on my white knee length socks with my black converse. I put my hair up in a bun.

"Perfect!" Kat says jumping on my bed.

"I just hope he likes it." I say twirling the ends on my bangs. "What time is it?"

"It's only 7:34pm, let's have a drink before you go."

We walk downstairs and into the kitchen. Kat and I both grab a beer and sit on the island stools. Noah walks in.

"Why are you all dressed up?" He asks me.

"Going a date." I say and he smirks.

"Andy finally asked you out? Good on him." He grabs a beer from the fridge and stands across from us. "You got any plans Kat?"

"Not at the moment." She says.

"Good, I'm going to an All Time Low concert, and I have an extra ticket." He says.

"You're the best!" She squeals and hugs him.

"You got All Time Low tickets and didn't tell me?" I ask hurt.

"Sorry sis, next time."

There's a knock on the door. "That must be him, Noah go answer the door." Kat demands.

"Why do I have to?" He asks.

"I can do it guys." I say.

I take one last gulp of beer and walk over to the front door. When I open the door, I see Andy's wearing a green plaid shirt, a black vest, black skinny jeans, and a pair of black vans. In his hands was a bouquet of red orchids.

"Hey." He says.

"Hey." I say blushing.

"Uh these are for you, you look beautiful by the way." He says handing over the flowers.

"Oh thank you, I'll just go put them in the kitchen and we can go." I walk into the kitchen giving them to Noah to take care of and return to the front door.

"Are you ready to go Angel?" He asks.

"You're calling me Angel now?"

"If the name fits, wear it."

We walk out of the house, I'm in for a hell of a night.
