Love or Infatuation

I wake up to my phone going off. The sound blares through my ears and I quickly answer it.

"Morning Sammy." Oh, it's just mom.

"Morning." I yawn.

"It turns out when your father was buying our tickets home, he put next Sunday."

"So you won't be home tonight?"

"We won't be home for a week, but your father's putting a little more money in your bank account for groceries and what not."

"Okay thank you mom."

"Love you Sammy." I hang up and put my phone down next to me.

"Good morning Samantha." I sit up to see Andy standing in the doorway.

"Hi... last night was fun." I say nervously. What am I supposed to say?

"I'm glad you had a good time." He sits down in front of me on the bed.

"Thank you by the way." I say covering even more of myself with the blankets. "Thanks for not taking advantage of me while I was drunk."

"Sam I meant what I said last night. I want you to want me, not because of any influence, just you." I lean in and peck his lips. "You probably want to change, I'll leave you to it."

He gets up and leaves, closing the door behind him. He's the perfect guy, how did I get him? Shit! There's a searing pain at the back of my head. I get up and walk into his attached bathroom. I rinse my face with cold water and stare at myself in the mirror. My hair's a big ball of knots, and he said nothing about it. I quickly fix it by tying it back in a high ponytail. I wipe off any makeup residue left on my face, and place my glasses back on. I return to the bedroom and put on my clothes from last night. I walk downstairs and into the kitchen to see Andy.

"How ya feeling?" He asks.

"My head hurts a lot." I respond. He kisses my forehead.

"Your head doesn't hurt." He says.

"Of course it doesn't." I say and look at him confused about his statement.

"That's good, so what'd your mom call about?"

"Dad screwed up while buying plane tickets so they won't be back till next week."

"Good, that means more alone time with you." I blush.

"I'm a bit hungry." I say.

"Same, but you probably mean for food. I'll get Jake to pick us up something on his way here."

"Jake's coming here now?"

"Yeah, he's gonna be staying here for a little bit."

"And your parents just allow it?"

He nods and hugs me from behind. I lean into the hug and hold his arms tighter around me. It feels amazing to be in his arms. I've dreamt about this moment for so long and for it to come true, life is perfect.
He takes out his phone and calls Jake. I sit down on the counter as he talks to Jake.

"Hey Jake, how far are you from here?"

"Good, can you pick Sam and me up some bagels?"

"I'm not going against the rules."

"Don't you dare tell him Jake."

"Good, now hurry up and get here." He puts his phone down.


"Rules?" I ask.

"We all have rules for ourselves Sammy." He says.

"Why do you always keep secrets from me?"

"And you don't? I know you were smoking weed with the new kid on Friday, that's why I couldn't sit with you during math."

"And yet you don't say anything."

"Why should I get mad at you? It's your body, if you want to poison it, then do so. Who am I to tell you how to live your life?"

"Fine ask me anything, I'm an open book."

"How do you want your first time to be, if you want me to be your first?"

"Of course I want you to be my first. And I've never really planned out, or ever even thought about sex in general. I guess I'd want it here or something, I'm not really sure."

"Good to know..."

This part bothers me. I feel like he really wants me to be ready, but he's kinda pressuring me. I don't know how I feel about this whole sex thing, I just know I'm not ready yet.
Jake walks into the kitchen with food, thank god!
