the one that bites

Ashley stands with red eyes. "Let her go." The vampire leader smirks. He plunges the sticks into Amelia's stomach. He drops her on the ground. She looks down at her stomach and groans. Angry floods through my body. I pull on the bounds holding me to the tree and they snap. Ashley and me circle him. He smirks. "Now boys, think about what you're doing here." We look at each other and smirk. I grab his arm and slam him against the tree. He groans and scratches my arm. He backs away and I drop his arm. He trips and falls into Ashley. Ashley bites into his neck and kicks his legs. The vampire ruler falls to the ground. I grab a wooden stake and drive it into his heart. "It's yours now my son." My jaw clenches as he turns to dust. I look up and speed to Amelia's side.

I pull her up into my lap and rock. "No baby." She whispers. "Daddy?" I nod. "I'm here. I'm here darling." She grips my forearm. "We have to turn her. Or she'll die." I look up at Ashley and nod. "Baby girl, this is gonna hurt." I bite into her neck and feel power draining from me. I pull away and she looks up into my eyes. "Daddy?" She says and her eyes close. I pick her up and Ashley looks at me sadly. "I just wanted her to call out for me. But she called out for you." I walk out of the woods and into the house. Ashley follows and opens the secret chamber. We walk in and set her down on the table. We chain her there and wait. "Go get a body. A live one too." Ashley nods and speeds off. He brings in a girl with red hair. "Sit here okay honey?" She nods and he chains her to the chair. I hover over Amelia and wait. Her eyes flick open and they're red. "Honey I know you're hungry. But listen to me. You have to listen to me now okay? Do everything I say." She nods and Ashley shuts and locks the door. I unchain her from the table. She sits up and I smile. "Feed from me wrist." I bite into it and hold it up to her lips.

She chugs my blood and I rip my wrist away from her. She pouts her bottom lip and I feel bad. "Here is your meal honey. Drink from her." The girl in the chair start to panic as Amelia approaches her with a sickening smile. She bites into the girls neck, draining her in seconds. "Honey, you have to be good. You also have to protect our secret, okay?" She nods and hugs me. "I love you Daddy." I kiss her head. "I love you two." I pull a necklace from a drawer. "Here. It helps you go out in the sun. I slip it on her neck and she looks at Ashley, as if noticing him for the first time. She smiles and runs over to him. She hugs him tightly and he smiles. She lets him go and returns to my side. "Let's go see what you can do now shall we?" She nods and we walk outside back into the woods.
