I Was So Bitter, Till You Came Along

John's visit was such a surprise. I was distracted the rest of the night, and Andy noticed. That's why I was sitting in front of him on the couch while he stared down at me.

"John stopped by today," I said, my eyes flickering to the crackling fire in the fireplace. I didn't want to see Andy's face.

"Did you-?"
"No I didn't," I snapped, interrupting Andy before he could finish, "he showed up unexpectedly."

"What did he say?" Andy asked. I looked back up at my fiancée and frowned.

"Do you trust me?" I asked, offended. Andy raised his brows.

"Of course I do. I didn't mean it like that," he said. I sighed and accepted his answer as genuine.

"He said he was angry at me but it went away when he saw I was pregnant. He congratulated me on both the pregnancy and the engagement," I said. Andy smiled.

"I'm sorry I got upset. He's your ex, isn't that a little understandable?" Andy asked.

"I don't want to talk about it anymore," I said quietly. Andy nodded and scooted closer to me. He wrapped an arm around my waist and I leaned into him, pressing a soft kiss against his plump lips.

"I love you, Andy," I sighed. He hummed and kissed my temple.

"I can't wait till she comes. I'm so excited," Andy said. His large hand was rested on my belly. I smiled warmly.

"You're gonna be an amazing daddy," I said quietly, looking up at him. His blue eyes stared into my hazel ones as he spoke.

"And you're going to be the most amazing mother," he said. My eyes filled with warm tears and I let out a laugh. It was hard to not love Andy. I knew I'd love him for the rest of my life.
