Rebel Love Song

Ashley took Andy over to his house after approving it with his mom, sitting him on his bed. "Hey... Hey, look at me." he murmured, kneeling down in front of him. Andy looked up, his gorgeous blue eyes glazed over with fresh tears as they continued to spill. Ashley sighed and got on the bed, rubbing his back. "I know you miss him, Andy... But... He wouldn't want you to be sad." Andy sniffled and rubbed his eyes. "I- I know... he whispered and nodded. "It's just- I miss him, Ash. Why did he have to go?" he began to sob again, body racking. Ashley immediately pulled him to his chest, stroking back his hair. "Sh... don't cry..." he whispered and began to hum quietly. "It's all gonna be okay..." Andy nodded again and began to quiet down. "I'll be right back... I've had a headache all day." "Sorry.." "For what?" "I probably made it worse.." he shrugged with a sigh. Ashley ruffled his hair. "Nah... It's fine." He shook his head and went to the bathroom. "Ash?" Andy stopped him, looking up. Ashley turned, looking at him questioningly. "Will you... go to the funeral with me?" Ashley smiled softly. "Of course... Now wait here." He got two Advils and swallowed them, chasing them with water. He came back and smiled faintly. "Feeling better?" He asked softly, sitting beside him. Andy nodded quietly. Ashley sighed and looked around, sitting in silence. "Ash? What time is it?" "This is your room... Shouldn't you have a clock?" He rolled his eyes. "Yeah, but its on the other side of the room!" He whined. Ashley shook his head and wiggled his phone out of his back pocket. "Uh.. almost four. Why?" "I just wanted to know if you'ld like to stay the night..." He asked shyly. Ashley laughed quietly. "Of course. I'm just gonna go call my mom first, ok?" he smiled and stood up. He left the room and leaned against the wall as he called. Once his mom gave him the okay, he hung up and went back. He stopped in his tracks, staring at Andy. "What's with you.." he furrowed his brow, slowly taking steps towards Andy. Andy was sitting against the wall by his book shelf, one of the Harry Potter books open next to him. One hand was shoved behind him back and the other covering his mouth in attempts to mask his hysterical giggles. "Re- Remember when there was that party at CC's?" He gasped out between laughs. "Yeah. It was to celebrate his birthday. Why?" he frowned. "Lo-Look!" He burst out laughing again, shoving the picture in his face. Ashley paled, and then turned a deep shade of crimson. He snatched the picture and stared in horror. "What the hell, Andy?!" he squeaked. The picture showed him, at seventeen years old, passed out in nothing but his boxers. "Jesus Christ, man! Where did you find this?!" He didn't even know this damn thing existed.. Andy pointed to the book and began to roll around on the floor laughing. That laughter was so contagious... He looked away and put it in his pocket. "Asshole." He muttered and sat down. Andy smirked wickedly and sat beside him. "Wanna know a secret?" He grinned ear to ear. "If it's about this, no." Ashley glared. Andy leaned in anyways, lips just inches away from touching his ear as he whispered. "I didn't take the picture." Ashleys eyes widened as he slowly looked at him. "What." "I didn't take it." He shrugged and laid down. "Your mom did, actually. You were supposed to leave early for some reason and she came to get you, but you were out cold, man. Damn.. it was hilarious. She took the picture as a consequence. I convinced her not to send it. Instead... She sent it to me. I must have printed it. Accidentally, of course." he winked "You perv!" Ashley whined. "Me? Blame your mom! She took it!" He held his hands up in defense, shaking his head. "Yeah but- she's my mom!" he wrinkled his nose. "Anyways. Moving on before you pull anything else possibly incriminating... Lets get to work on a set list." he grabbed a notebook and a pen. "Here you go." He tossed it to him. "Why do I have to write?" He pouted. "Because. You're the singer." Ashley shrugged. Andy muttered something under his breath and sat up. They tossed ideas back and forth for hours, ordered a pizza, and watched a few movies before finally finishing it. The set consisted of mostly cover songs, but had two originals in it. "Sweet. We'll run it by the guys tomorrow." Andy yawned and stood. "Now I'm gonna go get ready for bed. I'm exhausted..." he walked into the bathroom. Ashley waited, sitting on the floor and whistling. After waiting patiently for ten minutes, Ashley knocked. "Hurry up!" He whined. Andy grumbled and came out, glaring at him. "I was washing my makeup off." he mumbled and went to bed. Ashley watched him crawl under the covers and snuggle into the mattress, smiling fondly. He was such a cutie... He turned away and shut the bathroom door behind him. Ashley grabbed a washcloth and wet it down, washing his face off. He set the dirty cloth to the side and ran a finger through his hair, sighing. "What's the point?" he mumbled to himself and turned the bathroom light off, going out to the bed. He got in carefully, smiling when he saw Andy was fast asleep. He was so adorable when he was asleep like that... So precious and innocent. Fragile... When they first met, Ashley had made it his sworn duty to keep him safe. That was years ago... He missed when they were kids. Things were so much easier... He didn't have dumb emotions in the way of his friendship. All of a sudden, Andy rolled over and draped an arm over Ashley. Ashley smiled a bit, and snuggled close to him. He closed his eyes and let a deep sleep claim him
