First Sight

I can't believe that I'm going to be a dad.... This is huge.... As I'm driving Kamalani grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I looked at her and she was looking at her stomach as shocked as I am. "Are you okay?" I asked. "Yeah I'm just scared I don't want our baby to go through what I've gone through." She said. "She or he won't you know why because I'm going to be here I'm not going to do what he did to you and your mom okay because I love you to death and I want to be involved on the baby's life." I said kissing her hand and she nodded "Okay." She said. "Okay just promise me one thing..." I said "What?" She asked looking confused "If I ask you to marry me say yes okay?" I said. She nodded and said "I promise because I love you more than anyone else well except for my mom." She said and I smiled.

I was looking at my stomach thinking about all the joy that Andy and I will have when this baby arrives but I was my thought was thrown off when I heard Andy' voice speak. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Yeah I'm just scared I don't want our baby to go through what I've been through." I said which was true because I've been through so much shit in my life until now I felt happy and safe with Andy and I want our baby to feel the same way too. "She or he won't you know why because I will be here I'm not going to do what he did to you and your mom okay because I love you to death and I want to be involved in the baby's life." He said and pulled my hand up and kissed it. "Okay." I said. "Okay just promise me one thing..." He said. "What?" I asked. "If I ask you to marry me say yes okay?" He said. We arrived home and I went to go lay down on the bed and feel asleep for a little bit.
