On thin ice

Andy's POV:
It's been a week since the fight. Since Sam went into a coma. She almost died, because blood was filling up her lungs. They some how managed to stop the bleeding. After Sam had said those words, anger took over. I remember lunging at Thor, and just started throwing punches. When CC, Ashley, and Jake managed to pull me off of him, his face was all bloody. I saw Jinxx, Soul Glow, and Avril carrying Sam's limp body to the nurse. Jake, Ashley, and I ran after them. About a half hour later, the ambulance came, along with my parents. They picked me up and brought me to the hospital, and I'be been here ever since. I sat at Sam's bedside, just talking to her. I knew that she couldn't hear me, but I didn't care. Why did I save her... I just stood their while she was beaten. I sighed as I looked out the window at the late spring rain. My parents didn't try to make me leave. They knew that they couldn't. "Hey..." I heard someone say from the doorway. I looked up to see that it was Soul Glow and Avril. I smiled sadly. They walked into the room and sat in the chairs next to mine. "How is she doing?" Avril asked, looking at Sam. I sighed. "She's doing better. She hasn't woken up yet." I said while whipping a tear from my eye. There was a long silence. "Dude, we know that you like her..." Soul Glow whispered. I was taken back. How did he know? "It's kinda obvious. The way that you act quiet when she's gone. We see the way you two look at each other. It's beautiful." Avril said slightly smiling. There was another long silence. I sighed and looked at her. They were right. I didn't just like her, I was in love with her. "Does she know?" I asked softly, not taking my eyes off of her. "We don't think so. You know how she is..." Soul Glow said. We sat there in silence for the rest of the time they were there. After they left, I took out my lyrics book and started singing a song that I wrote.

I sighed as I finished the song. "That was beautiful..." Someone said softly, making me jump. I looked over at Sam as she slowly opened her eyes.
