Don't Mess With Ouija Boards

[Raven's POV]

I had fallen asleep for a good part of the movie and woke up in increasingly familiar arms.

"Ronnie, let go for a few. I need to pee."

"Mkay. Hurry up though." He complained.

I shuffled out to the bathroom and looked to our bus next spot over. Ash had a bottle of whiskey in his hand and some plastic looking brunette pinned to the side of our bus, fucking her brains out.

"Ash, you may want to finish quick, we're leaving as soon as the others are back. Don't forget, no sluts in the bus." Jake yelled as he was getting on the bus.

"That’s why, we're here, and not, in, my, bunk." He said as I assumed he finished with his
groupie.

I ran back to Ronnie sobbing slamming the door behind me.

[Ronnie's POV]

I jumped off the bed and wrapped my arms around Raven.

"Ray, babe, what's wrong?"

She didn't say a word. I wiped away the river of tears the best I could. I'm not used to this kind of thing. I brushed the hair out of her eyes and made her look at me.

"What happened? Are you hurt?"

She nodded.

"Where? Talk to me Ray, your silence it torture." I said hugging her tight to my chest.

"It's a long story." She sniffed while clinging to me.

"We have all night." I reminded her as I pulled her to the bed, making Charlie move to the
floor.

She curled into me and kept wiping the tears away.

"Here goes nothing, and you can't tell Jinxx or Ever."

"I'll try my best." I said pulling her closer, resting my cheek on the top of her head.

"I've been a Purdy girl since I started listening to the guys. I tried to putthat behind me since
I've moved in with Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Ever."

She paused and sniffled before continuing. I looked into her teary eyes andcarefully wiped away her tears streaming down her face.

"When you asked me if I was okay at the merch booth, I had thought of what happened between Ash and I after I left you to go back to our bus. I flicked water on him after I washed my hands, he and I chased each other around the bus and ended up making out for a while."

I could tell she wasn't finished, so I brushed the tears from her face and hugged her tight.

"I didn't know he liked me. When I went to go to the bathroom I looked to my bus and saw him fucking some bimbo's brains out against the bus, Jack in hand. Now I'm wondering if he liked me, or if he was just using me."

Her lips trembled and the dam broke behind her eyes.

I'm going to fucking kill Ash.

I kissed her forehead, "I'm so sorry Ray. You don't deserve to have this happen to you. He's a piece of shit!"

"I know his reputation, I shouldn't have let it happen." She cried harder.

"Raven, it's not your fault. He's a fucking idiot."

We sat in silence as I held her close until she cried it out. By the time she slowed down, my shirt was sopping wet and her eyes were swollen and red.

"Thanks for letting me vent Ronnie. You're so sweet." She said kissing my cheek.

"It's nothing Raven. Why don't you let me grab you some of my sweats and we'll get some
sleep." I said getting up.

Raven was still crying a little. I put the clothes on the bed next to her, then kneeled on the floor in front of her and wiped the tears away.

"Ray, I promise I will do my best to keep you from hurting like this ever again. Now go
change. I'll find us something to watch."

As soon as Raven was out of the room I shot Jinxx a text.

R- Can't go into details atm. Just know I'm going to hurt Ash for making Raven cry like this.

J- WHAT? WHAT HAPPENED TO HER?

R- It comes down to the face that he hurt her so badly emotionally, that she's been bawling since the busses left the venue.

J- If I kill him, I may need Max to fill in.

R- I'm sure he'd gladly help.

J- Thanks for being there for her. She's been through a lot.

R- You're welcome. We're all going to bed. See you in the am.

Raven came back as I put the movie on, she looked exhausted.

I half smiled at her. "Still good for another movie, or just sleep?"

"Movie sounds good. I'll warn you, I may fall asleep in the middle again though."

"That's fine if you do,you've had a long day. I'll be inthe first bunk on the bottom left if you need anything in the middle of the night."

"I'm not kicking you out of your room Ronnie."

"I'm not letting you sleep out there with the boys. That's just not right."

"We're adults, I think we can share without funny business. I'll warn you though, I like to cuddle."

"Which side do you want to sleep on, big spoon or little spoon?" I laughed.

"Little spoon, of course!" She smiled.

"I think you'll like what I picked. A man's wife is brutally murdered by a serial killer and his
son left physically disabled. Then in a twisted turn of events, his son is kidnapped and he has to chase the kidnapper thousands of miles with the help of a mentally disabled women."

"I love Finding Nemo." She smiled.

It damn near left me breathless. I grabbed the remote and got in bed, holding the blanket up for Raven to get in. As soon as we were in, I hit play. She was curled up against me with no room between us, I draped my arm over her and held her tight. She fit perfectly against me. I propped my head up in my hand just above Raven's head, my cheek brushing her hair lightly. Her smell was intoxicating. Like lavender and a little bit of vanilla. I found myself getting lost in her.

I snapped to when she shifted and looked up at me, hitting me with her big eyes a little teary.

"I used to wish I was like Dory. That way I wouldn't remember all the bad things that have happened to me."

"Hey, now, stop." I put my free hand on her cheek.

"If you were like Dory, you wouldn't be able to remember all the good things either."

"I haven't had many good things, but you're right. I don't want to lose them."

"I'm going to make sure you have a million more great things to remember before tour is over. I promise."

"Thanks Ronnie." She said rolling back over to watch more of the movie.

At some point she fell asleep, and I couldn't help but watch her. I turned off the movie and curled up with this strong, sweet woman in my bed.

Before I joined her in sleep it hit me, I am falling hard and fast for Raven.

God cannot save my soul.
