What happens next?

Alice's POV


CC’s lips are almost pressed up against mine when we got interrupted by Lola sneezing.

“Achoo, Achoo, Achoo!”

“Oh crap, Lola? Did you take your tablets before we left?” I asked as I stepped away from CC.

“Tablets? What does she need tablets for? Lola are you okay?!” A panicked Ashley starts rambling.

“Calm down hot shot, she’s allergic to horses, coconuts and has hay fever. She takes the tablets to keep them under control.”

“Well then, let’s get the hell out for here! Why didn’t you say something about your allergies before?” Ashley asked Lola before grabbing her by the knees and under the arms to carry her bridle style to the car.

“With the way he is acting, you would have thought that she had been run over or shot!” CC said as we walked to the car.

“Ash, you do know she can walk right? She’s sneezing, that’s all. She should be fine when she has a shower and puts on a clean set of clothes.” I told the frantic Ashley who was trying to get his keys out of his pocket to open the door while carrying Lola.

“What do you mean ‘should’? What happens if she doesn’t stop sneezing?” A panic ridden Ashley looks at me with an expectant look upon his child like face.

“A blood rocket erupts from her nose and continues to flow freely for hours.” I state.

“Oh my goodness! She’s going to die of blood loss! Oh no! Stay with me Lola!” Ashley screams as he starts shaking a wide awake Lola.

“As amusing as this is to watch, please stop shaking me and place me on my feet. I can walk, I am fine, I still have all my limbs intact, my head is still on and my brain is working. I just need a shower.” Lola says while chuckling.

“Over dramatic much?” CC mumbles under his breathe, just loud enough for me to catch and burst out laughing. “What are you laughing about?” He asks while turning to look at me.

“Nothing, nothing at all.” I reply while walking towards the car.




When we finally got home, after Ashley pulled over every five minutes to make sure Lola was awake and had a steady pulse, Lola went and had a shower and got changed into a clean pair of clothes.

The funniest part of walking in through the front door was Andy, Jake and Jinxx’s confused faces. Put it this way, Ashley insisted on carrying Lola in through the door while slamming it open, and the poor un-expectant Andy was midway opening a can of beer before he jumped and it fizzed everywhere. CC and myself cracked up laughing soon followed by Jake and Jinxx while Ashley rushed Lola up the stairs to the bathroom and a dumbfounded Andy glanced back and forth from his beer can and his lap where the beer has spilt.

“What happened with them?” Jinxx asked as CC and myself took a seat next to Jake and Andy.

“Ahh, you know the usual, Lola forgets to take her allergy meds and goes to a barn where basically everything that she’s allergic to lives.” I say with a shrug of my shoulder. “Have you guys eaten yet?” I ask as I make my way to the kitchen.

“Nah, not yet.” Jake said from the sofa. “Anyway, who won between you and Ashley?”

“Who do you think won? It was awesome!” CC exclaimed. I walked back into the living room right when CC spoke. Jake, Jinxx and Andy looked rather shocked by CC’s outburst but Andy soon had a sly look on his face.

“Let me guess, Mr Purdy won and left you, Alice, in a cloud of his dust.” Andy said while clapping his hands together and placing them on his knees.

“Wrong! Alice kicked Ashley’s butt! You should have seen it! She was miles ahead of Ashley!” CC shouts while moving off the sofa and starts jumping around.

“I bet Ashley wasn’t too impressed by that!” Jake says while chuckling.

“No he wasn’t, but soon after we left because of Lola. Not that I mind, she’s just very forgetful.” I say as I walk back into the kitchen to get the pizza’s out of the oven. Not long after, Ashley and Lola make their way down stairs and we all start munching on pizza.
