You Were Always Mine

"... charm won't save you now, Ashley." The red haired girl whispered as she picked up a blowtorch.
Screaming and blood filled Daved's television screen. He sighed and changed the channel. More violence and gore.
He settled for something that was playing on the horror channel. He wasn't sure what, but he already liked it since someone had their head cut off.
"How are we, Genieve?" He asked through the secure 2 way sound and video feed.
"I just started." She sighed.
"Let me know when we have video." He drawled and returned to the film.

Lights.
Genieve laid out the shimmering metal instruments spotted with rust on an old brass tea trolley then set the too bright lights up for use later. She knocked the bare hanging light bulb to set it swinging.

Camera.
She pulled her obvious hair under a less recognisable wig and tied the black carnival mask to her head before turning on the video feed. They were recording.

Action.
She grabbed Ashley by the back of the neck and dragged him to the board where deep cuts lingered in the wood around a palms length from the left hand shackle and clicked the metal cuffs shut. She ripped off the blindfold with a handful of his hair. He cried out already.
She set the bulb swinging again and chose herself a blunt knife to begin. Daved watched from his laptop on the couch in anticipation.
"Hello, Ashley. You've been a really bad hostage. You hardly scream, you never cry, yet if I bring you here you blubber like a baby. I think there is a chance you will be a very good hostage when I'm finished." She told him in a sticky-sweet tone.
"Why are you doing this?" He snarled like a dog pulling his chain.
"Ooh! Ferocious. I like. All part of ny plan." She avoided the question.
"What plan?" He hissed and ripped his wrist open with a sharp tug on the chain.
"My plan for you. Now stop that, you're bleeding before I've even touched you." She sounded bored.
The light flickered at the press of a key beside Daved. Ashley glanced at the bulb.
Genieve took his distraction to slam the knife straight through his right elbow and pin his forearm to the board.
He screamed. She laughed. "THAT'S a scream! Can I get another?" She asked innocently.
He breathed heavily and gritted his teeth, remaining stubbornly silent.
She picked up a cordless drill and flicked the power on.
"Fine. We'll do it my way." She told him, her soft yet powerful voice barely a whisper but it still sliced the sound of the drill.
She stepped towards him and ran her free hand down his chest and placed the drill down.
She ripped the knife from his elbow and he grunted. She examined the blade and pressed her tongue to it, lapping up his blood. "Mmm... sweet." She purred then trailed the blade up his stomach, slicing his shirt clean open leaving a line of red along his chest beneath.
She picked up her drill again and pressed her slender body into his, shimming down his legs and back up, licking the blood down his chest.
He shivered. "Get off me." He snapped.
"Thought you liked sex?" She pouted.
"Consensual. With sane women. " He retaliated.
"Oh. Well there goes me and you then." She laughed. "I am mad as a hatter." Then she pushed the drill in his stomach quickly and pulled it out.
He screamed and kept screaming as she dipped to the floor and pressed the drill bit against the side of his knee and slowly pushed it through until she saw the rusted silver on the other side.

An hour later, water ran red across the concrete and iron tainted the air.
"Ready to go again?" She asked him as he spluttered water from his lungs.
He shook his head, tears indistinguishable from the moisture on his skin.
"Okay!" She said cheerily and began pouring another bucket slowly over his face.
He struggled against the chains to get off the table he had now been tied to but couldn't do anything to escape as usual. And he had to breathe now.
His lungs clawed his throat for oxygen.
He couldn't hold his mouth shut anymore.
He took a breath and water flooded in, filling his lungs and nostrils. The water stopped. He choked it out again, twisting his head so the liquid drained away.
Last night he would have begged for some water.
She held his head to help him. "Ashley, do you love me?" She asked him once more.
"Nobody could ever love you." He spat defiantly.
"Hmmm. Pity. I wrote you a song, perhaps it will change your mind." She purred as she pushed the speakers to stand one on each side of his head.
Ashley relaxed. Compared to drilling his knees and water boarding, music seemed a walk in the park. But he knew it wouldn't be that simple.
He flinched as high pitched feedback squeaked through them. He saw her plugging her earplugs in. He already knew it would be painfully loud. Oh well... maybe he'd go deaf and not have to hear her grating voice.
Daved clicked on the sound.
"H-h-help me." Daved stuttered down the microphone.
Ashley shut his eyes. It was horribly loud.
"What have you done with Daved?" Ashley snapped.
Genieve didn't answer.
Daved pressed another button and played the edited tape of himself torturing Jinxx.
Jinxx's screams mingled with Daved's fake pain and wormed inside Ashley's skull.
It became too much.
His own cries joined the din.

Genieve grinned. She had shattered him. He was like a stallion, all the more beautiful and useful when broken. All the more pliable to her will.
