Tomorrow Is Waiting

I'm With You

Rain’s POV
“Ughhhhh, another test. Why do I have to have another test,” I growled at the nurse in annoyance.
I was already beyond tired of her presence in the room and wanted her out.
“We can’t let you go until we know what’s going on in that body of yours, and figure out how you woke up even though your condition was worsening,” the nurse said in her annoying, high pitched voice.
Ash walked in as I was rolling my eyes at this woman. I don’t see why they can’t just accept I got better and let me go home. It was extreme blood loss, not the fucking plague.
“Easy, I can answer that. I realized you people weren’t going to actually help me so I sold my soul to my lord and savior, Lucifer,” I replied, very matter-of-factly.
This of course earned a chuckle from Ash and a glare at the both of us from the nurse.
“You,” she shouted at Ash, “don’t you encourage her childish nonsense!”
This, of course, earned another eye roll from me and a ‘just go away already’ look from Ash.
“Look, you can tell that she isn’t going to work with you. She’s had a number of tests done today, most of which were unnecessary, give her time to catch her breath,” Ash tried to reason.
Naturally, she ignored his thoughts on the matter and continued with her attempts of poking and prodding. Every time she attempted to touch me I would slap her hand away and give her a death glare.
Unfortunately for me, she was determined to do what she had come to do, but I was more determined to break that determination. After a few more swats, and a threat to tell the doctor about her extra-long lunch breaks, she finally gave up and stormed out of the room.
“Success! 10 points for Gryffindor! Oh yeaah, uh uh, oh yeaaaah,” I cheered as I did a happy dance.
“Rain, you’re going to get yourself into a lot of trouble one day,” Ash chuckled.
“Yeah… but you’ll never fail to bail me out, babe.”
“What makes you so sure of that?”
I looked at him, quickly trying to think of an answer. “If you don’t you’ll have no one to take care of your huge sex drive,” I said with a chuckle.
He looked at me with wide eyes, “that’s too true… Fuck. Wait, you haven’t even taken care of it yet, how is that your reasoning!”
“Excuse me, but last time I checked we keep getting interrupted every time we go to do the deed.”
“Don’t make it sound like us having sex is like we’re going off to commit some crime,” he shouted.
He was right… do the deed does sound like we’re trying to indirectly talk about a job to kill someone. I mean, technically there is some murdering involved in it. Oh! That’s good, THAT’S a funny response, it needs to come out of my mouth like right now. Come on, mouth, you can do it!
“Well, technically, you would be murdering something.”
“What?!?!” he questioned.
“You’d be murdering this pussyyyyyyy,” I yelled.
Of course, the response sounded a lot better in my head, and Ash looked at me with the utmost disappointment. He had the look of shame splattered all over his face.
“Why…. Just why?” he said, hiding his face with his hand and shaking his head.
“Uh…. Because.”
“Because why?” he questioned.
“Reasons…….”
“It sounded better in your head, didn’t it?” he laughed.
“Maybe,” I giggled before sighing, “when am I going to get out of this place. I hate hospitals.”
“I'm trying to get you out as soon as possible, babes. The doctor said that they need to keep you here for a while longer,” Ash said as he came to stroke my hair.
“I wish the real world was like fanfictions.”
“And why is that?” Ash asked, confused.
“Because everyone gets out of the hospital unrealistically quick in them.”
For a while we joked with each other about how our lives would be if we were inside a fanfiction. We decided our story would have probably made one of the best fanfics out there.
“As long as we weren't in one of those adoption fics, I'd be pretty interested in seeing our life as a story,” I laughed, “cause y’know, I don’t think I could handle something where you're my dad.”
“Awuh, why not? Don't you wanna fuck your new daddy, Rain?” Ash chuckled.
“No! I don't! I wanna fuck my super hot rockstar boyfriend because then I don't have to hide the fact that I'm fucking him.”
“Yeah, but then you have to hide from all the crazy fangirl hate! If I was your dad and we were secretly fucking you wouldn't get much hate,” Ash said in an all too serious tone.
“Babe! I don't want to be in an incest fanfiction!” I shouted.
“But it wouldn't be incest because we're not blood related,” he tried to reason.
“Why the fuck are we even fighting about what type of fanfiction we should be in?” I laughed.
“For the lolz babe, for the lolz.”
After I got Ash to agree a non-adoption fic would be a better representation of us, we started chatting about random things. Trying to pass the time and suppress our boredom for a bit. Of course, the entire time we were chatting I was thinking about a dreaded topic. When they were going to have to finally leave to resume tour. I really don't want them to leave yet. Our last night together was ruined by Max, for fucks sake. I should get enough time to get a redo. Alas, it would be selfish of me to keep them from the fans much longer than I already have.
“When do you trouble makers have to leave me in this hell hole to resume tour?” I asked, urging myself not to sound like I'm gonna cry.
“Soon” Ash replied.
“How soon is soon?”
“Tomorrow night.”

Notes

It's short and not as good as it could be, but here it is! The first chapter of part two of The Moment.
