No One Can Tell You Who You Are (Completed)

Chastidy’s point of view
Three years ago today, I was sitting in a hospital room with my best friend, Dylan Renee Loe; two and a half years ago I adopted twins, Peter Ryan & Cassidy Maye. Dylan is my best friend and always has been, and always will be, the next chapters of our lives will play out day by day, Adopting my two children at their young age of 3 was a joy, they were no name children, meaning that nobody had named them, and that nobody but myself and CC wanted them. Jinxx and I never ended up together because of all the crazy things that happened before. We agreed that it couldn’t and wouldn’t happen.

CC’sPOV:
“Hey babe,” I yelled coming down the hall towards our room, “where’s the-“ I stopped dead in my tracks and screamed. I ran over to Chastidy and scooped her up into my arms and pulled out my phone, I had to call Dylan.
“Hel-“
“DYLAN MEET ME AT THE HOSPITAL IN 5 MINUTES!” I hung up the phone and ran to the car. I put Chastidy in and grabbed the kids.
“Is mommy sleeping??” Peter asked in his innocent little voice.
“yeah, baby, momma’s gonna be okay, but we need to get her to the doctor so we can be sure.” Chastidy started to stir. She sat up and moaned in pain.
“CC, what happened?” she screamed. Peter threw his hand around to Chas and said, “mommy, please hold my hand, I’ll make you all better!” she took his hand and he started to cry.
“Babe, I need you to relax okay?” we pulled up to the hospital and I honked my horn. Doctors and nurses all came rushing out, they ripped Chastidy’s hand from peters. I saw the flash of a red car go past, saw the killjoy sticker on the bumper and I knew it was Dylan.
They got Chas onto a gurney and rushed her inside. Peter was screaming, he loved Chastidy more than life it’s self, he was a complete mommy’s boy. Cassidy was crying because she didn’t like seeing her brother sad.
“What happened,?” Dylan said as she got Cassidy out of the car.
“I don’t know, I walked into our room and saw her and freaked out.” I said getting a still screaming peter out of the car.
Dylan and I ran into the hospital with Cassidy and Peter, we ran up to the nurses station and gave her all the information. She told us that Chastidy was rushed into the ICU, with a code blue. Her heart stopped beating.
“so she’s…” I started
“no, they got her heart beating again, but she’s very touch and go. I’d recommend going and seeing her while you can.”
“Can the children come?”
“Of course, let me get you guys some visitor stickers.” She said with a smile. She handed us each a purple & red sticker to have on us at all times, the purple one for visitors and red for the kiddos.
We all went in to see Chastidy, her eyes were barely open and she looked too pale. Too tiny.
“MOMMY!!!” Peter yelled with tears in his eyes.
‘Come here my sweet baby’s.” Chastidy whispered. Dylan set Cassidy down, and I, peter. I knew my love was dying, and so did Dylan by the look in her eyes.
“Peter & Cassidy, I love you to the ends of the earth and back.” Sje started her voice slowly fading. “you are the light in my life.” Her voice was barely a whisper now, a tear escaping from her eyes. “I love all of you.
The heart monitor slowed down, peter screamed. Then it stopped, and he kept screaming, clutching to his mothers arm. Cassidy looked confused at first, but then she knew what happened. She kissed her mothers forehead and slid off the bed and stood next to Dylan. I went to pick up peter, but he refused to let go. All of the sudden I heard a beeping sound, slowly getting louder and louder.
Suddenly I shot out of bed, sweat running down my face, and My alarm going off. I looked over at my sleeping girlfriend. The one I loved the most. Her eyes fluttered open and I smiled. I couldn’t help but to think of the words we painted on our children’s walls, ‘no one can tell you who you are’
