3 Weeks Later.



People started to like the new me. They grew respect for Lila. Why? Because I was at the top for once. I was hanging out with the jocks and the cheerleaders. I was going out to parties. Plus I called Blaise and he said he really wanted to go out with me, so we went on our first date, which was amazing. He took me out for mini golfing, I thought it was adorable. It's amazing how well things have been for me.


I just feel bad for the way I've been neglecting my dad and uncles. They've been there for me since I was in diapers, and I've been giving them "rain checks" just so I could chill with Chels, Heth, and Bree. I feel bad about my dad especially. I've grown distant of him, and whenever I talk to him I usually ask for money. I'm gonna make things right with them, but I'm gonna do it as the new me, as Lila.


As soon as I get in the door, I run to the living room. Weird, my dad's not sitting here and watching cartoons like he always does. Yea, he's a fucking child. I put my bag in my room and knock on my dad's bedroom door.

"Just a sec!" He yells, almost shocked that I'm home.

"Okie dokie." I say softly leaning on the wall.

He opens the door with only his boxers on. "What's up?" He asks, what the fuck? I wrap my arms around him, embracing him in a long hug.

"I'm sorry for the way I've been treating you lately and I wanna make up for it." I release from the hug and he closes the door, and joins me in the hallway.

"How do you wanna make up for it?" He raises his brow and crosses his arms.

"We could have a guys night again, I miss those. We could have a batman marathon in our pjs. I don't know, but are you up for it?"

"Of course, I've missed my babygirl." Something drops in his room and he stands in front of the door. "What the fuck?"

"Probably something in my closet dropped from a shelf." He says.

"You gonna go pick it up? It sounded heavy." I ask with crossed arms.

"Yea I will, you go change into your pjs and get the movies ready." He says.

"Andy," a woman's voice says, "where'd you throw my bra?" She asks.

"You know what, I think Bree told me to call her tonight so rain check on batman." I say and storm off into my room.


"Lily wait!" He says and follows me.

"What? Are you gonna tell me it's meaningless sex to fill the void of my mom? Are you gonna say that it was just a one time thing? Ooh are you gonna say that you think you've found the right woman to replace my mother?" I ask, I'm livid.

"No I'm gonna say the fucking truth goddammit! I'm getting back with Scout." He states and I can't bare to look at him anymore.

"I thought you said liars don't get second chances."

"I lied."

"Please leave me alone." I say crawling underneath the covers.

"Lily baby," he says taking a seat on the bed. "She's not replacing your mom, she's just making me very happy. She's not a for sure thing, but I'm sure you understand."

"Can you call uncle Ash? I don't wanna talk to you right now." I ask and he nods. He leaves my room with his head down and closes the door.



I just can't believe it. My whole world is falling apart. Either that or I'm being melodramatic. My mom and dad are never getting back together. My dad doesn't love me like he's claimed. My dad lied to not only himself, but my mom and me when he said "Liars don't get second chances".


That's the end of this whole father daughter relationship between us. There won't be anymore time for me, only for her. Scout Compton Taylor. She will become my stepmother. She will be my father's full time distraction. She will make sure my life is a living hell. I just know it! I just fucking know it!


And do you know what the worst part is?



There's nothing I can do about it.

Notes

It's been a long day, I might get back with my ex. Although he can play cruel jokes on me, he's the only one who knows how to help me and he can honestly say he loves me. So I just might get back with him.
