Free Bird

Beep, Beep, Beep.
That annoying sound, a sound I've come to know more than anything else. The sound that means I'm still alive, that someone found me, AGAIN! I open my eyes, annoyed that I am able to do so. I look around the white room, man do all hospitals have boring white walls? I expect the room to be empty, but there are five men in all black around the room.
"Neveah?" I hear from my left.
I turn my head to see Ashley, eyes red, face full of sadness. My heart shatters as I realize what I must have put him through, how could I do this? In my breakdown I forgot about the guys, I forgot that they care, the girls care, my co-worker cares! I am not NOT anymore, they don't know me by that, they know me as Neveah!
"Hey," I whisper as I grab his hand
The other four cram around the bed, and I see all their eyes are red and I can only imagine what they thought, how long was I out this time? So the only thing I can say was...
"Who found me?" I ask as I look all of them in the face, wanting to thank them and apoligize at the same time
"Um, Neveah there is something you need to know." Ashley tells me as the guys all sit down in chairs, "You're mom found you..."
"WHAT!" I scream, my heart picking up pace, filling the room with its sound.
"Sweetie calm down, she was walking past the room and saw you laying there, blood everywhere. She called 911 and then she didn't know what to do. She grabbed your phone and went through your contacts. She found the number to "My Best Friend" and called Andy." Ashley informs me, pausing to let Andy tell the next part.
"I answered and then she told me that she had found you unconscious, that she had called 911, and that she knew you wouldn't want her to be there when you woke up, so she had to call someone. I asked who it was and she told me she was your mom, then said she had to go and to meet you at the hospital. She hung up before I could say anything else. I called Ashley, I called everyone. We all got here before you did, we all saw you come in and we were heart broken." Andy tells me
My heart shatters as I realize they watched my unconscious body being rolled into the ER, probably barley breathing, barely clinging to life.
