Tonight the guys and I are playing a show at CU. I decided I would go set up some stuff early so we just had to worry about sound check later. It was a pretty beautiful campus. There was a nice field called "the greens" where students laid out in the sun doing work. Some students were smoking pot and hanging out. I even saw a girl sitting in a tree reading a book. I walked straight through the field where the concert hall was on the other side. I knocked on the back door for entrance. I notified some people that were setting up that I brought our equipment. All of our roadies had been working since we arrived last night to make sure the lighting and effects were perfect. I stole four of the guys and walked them back to the van. we ended up just driving around to the front of the venue because it was easier than walking through the greens.

Once they had every thing inside I parked the van. I decide to take a walk until the guys showed up for sound check. I had a few hours. I walked back toward the greens. Most of the students from earlier had left and other student took their places. I was standing under a tree watching the students when something dripped on me. I looked up just as a girl fell from the tree. I caught her in my arms and touched her face moving the hari out of her eyes. She was so pretty.

The girl clutched at her wrist with something in her hand. I went to move her one hand off of her wrist but she had a death grip on it. "No." a small voice said, "I just fainted. I need water." she told me struggling to get out of my arms. I handed her my water bottle after I placed her on her feet.

She gripped the bottle in a bloody hand. I grabbed her other arm that she tried to hide behind her back. I pushed up her sleeve as she tried to fight me. She spit water in my face making me laugh. I looked down at her arm. There was an open slice on her hand and her arm was covered in scars some of them crisscrossed and over laped the others. I looked up at her face. She had flipped her hair in front of her eyes. "I know Im disgusting. You can leave now." she dissmissed me. I shook my head. "No come with me." I said pulling her in the direction where I parked the van. I think the roadies kept a first aid kit in their.

As I was wraping her hand up she told me ome cover story about falling out of trees. I just nodded until she finished. I wasn't about to blow up her spot if she didn't want it blown up. I wasn't going to be the one to break this poor girl. All I said was "Will you come to my concert tonight? I'll give you back stage passes you can bring a friend if youd like." She shook her head. "I don't have any friends." Well you do now. "I'm your friend. you can tell me anything at anytime. I'll be here for you. In return I need you to support me by coming to my show tonight." she smiled then and it warmed my heart. If I could make her smile like that maybe I could help her not be so sad.

Okay so I wanted to try something different. The girl is inspired by a character in my favorite book. I do not self harm.
