Immortal Spell

“Ashley? Why are you out here still? I thought you guys left. And why are you staring at my baby?” I say as soon as I get closer to my bike.
“I was waiting for you because you hadn’t called me yet.” He paused before asking “This is your bike?”
“Yeah hence why I called it my baby. I didn’t expect you would want me to call you right after the meeting. You know I do have other things to do such as go home and work on some stuff for the meeting on Friday and I also have to get home to feed my dog and my friend’s cat before they try to eat each other.“ I say a little irritated.
“Oh sorry I guess I sometimes forget people have other things to than talk to me.” He says a little sad with himself; but I can’t tell if he is really sorry.
“Well how about this I will call you when I get home and after I feed the cat and dog.” I say figuring that he would be happy with that response.
“Okay that sounds like a plan, I’ll be waiting by my phone.” He say with a huge smile on his face.”
“Alright I really have to get going know.” I say as I pack my stuff into my seat and side compartments. I then started my bike and just before I pulled out of my parking spot I waved to Ashley

I got off my bike and grabbed my stuff before heading to the elevator to head up to mine and AJ’s apartment. When I walked through the door Nyx started barking like a mad women and Erebus started rubbing up against my legs. I guess AJ hadn’t been home yet since they seemed like they hadn’t been feed since AJ left early this morning. I began walking to the kitchen to feed the two of them. When I got in the kitchen I went to the cabinet above the sink because Erebus likes to attack his food and Nyx’s. After I finished feeding Nyx and Erebus I started making AJ and I’s dinner; which is going to be spinach and portabella mushroom ravioli with my sauce I’ve been making for hundreds of years and if I really cared I could make my own ravioli but I don’t. I also mixed our weekly dose of blood we need with our wine for the night; one of the down falls of being immortal is you have to drink at least a pint of blood a week to survive otherwise you become to week and eventually die.
After AJ got home we had dinner and talked, she asked me how my meeting went and I responded by saying “It was good they want to work with me, Ashley Purdy was staring at me the entire meeting and then asked me on a date, and I have a meeting with them on Friday at noon. So how was your day?”
“Wait go back to what you just said.”
“I have a meeting…”
“No before that.” She says cutting me off.
“Oh you mean the part about Ashley Purdy asking me on a date.”
“Yes that part and WHAT?”
“Yeah he asked me on a date and I said I would if he cooked dinner.” I say as if it’s no big deal even though I know AJ is going to blow it out of proportion and make a big fuss over it.
“Hey you shouldn’t be acting like this is no big deal, because it is you know how big of a player he is you have to be careful you don’t want to end up pregnant because he didn’t wear a condom…”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa who said I was going to sleep with him on the first date.” I say before this conversation can go any further “Listen to me I promise not to sleep with him as long as you promise to end this conversation.”
“No promises about not bring it back up in the future but for no I will drop it.” She says in defeat.
“Good now help me clean the kitchen I have work I need to get started for Friday.” I say standing up and grabbing my dishes.
After the kitchen was clean I went upstairs to my office with Nyx following close behind. When I had everything set up and turned on I sat down in front of my computer with Nyx in my lap and my sketch book on the desk next to me. After about an hour of working I realized I hadn’t called Ashley, so I decided now was better than never. I grabbed my phone and called him only to get his voice mail; I left a message and went back to work. I worked for a while longer till I felt accomplished for the night, by the time I was done for the night the clock read 4:30 A.M. Nyx had long since passed out I Ash’s chair on the other end of the room. After I straitened everything up I put my phone in my pocket and picked Nyx up from where she was sleeping and walked down the hall to my room to sleep. I was so tired that I didn’t even bother to find my pajamas I just took off my pants and my bra. Then I snuggled up to Nyx under the covers and went to sleep.
