Immortal Spell

When I woke up the next day I could feel we were still moving; I got up looking at my phone to see it was only nine. I got my note book of phone numbers out of my bag and started making phone calls in the front lounge to cancel my meetings and reschedule them. After I did that; I pulled out my laptop and sketch book and started to work on designs and stuff to send in to Hot Topic for printing. I worked for about two hour before anyone moved in the back.
“Hey how long have you been up? I didn’t hear you leave.” Ashley says sitting down next to me.
“What time is it?” I asked continuing my work.
“I think it’s just after eleven.” He said as he laid his head on my shoulder.
“I’ve been up for two hours and if you are still tired you can go back to bed.”
“No I can’t you’re not there so I can’t sleep.” He said with his eyes closed.
“That’s sweet; I’m up for the day so how about I grab my computer and lay next to you, you can sleep and I can still work.” I say as I close my laptop and putting my pencils and books in my laptop bag.
“I suppose that will work.” He said getting off the coach.
Ashley slept while I worked for another hour or two before Andy opened the curtain seeing me working and Ash asleep.
“How long have you been up?” Andy asked in a whisper.
“Since nine he dragged me back to bed at eleven and I haven’t stopped working since I got up.” I say closing my laptop.
“How do you get up so early?”
“Very easily, I wake up when I’m fully rested. Here take my laptop I want to have fun waking him up.” I say handing Andy my laptop. “Oh and you might want to back up.”
I then grabbed the blanket under Ash and pulled sending him flying onto the floor.
“Why can’t you wake me up in a way were I don’t end up on the floor?” He asked siting up.
“What’s the fun in that.” I say as Andy and I laugh our heads off.
“What was that I just heard a loud thud?” CC said pecking his head out to see me in the bunk and Ash on the floor.
“She decided to see if she could kill me waking up.” Ash said still on the floor.
“No I didn’t, come on I’ll help up off the floor.” I say reaching for his hands. He then pulled me on the floor into his lap.
“Nah I think I’ll help you off the floor.” He said as he stood up. If I weren’t acting like a weak human I would have pulled him back onto the ground.
“Now that was uncalled for.” I say once I’m standing.
“No what was uncalled for was be being woken up by you shoving me off the bed.”
“Okay fine I was mean, now I’m going to get dressed.” I say heading to the back lounge.
They didn’t have any type of press today just a meet and greet then the show. Ash had me by him the whole day except when he was at the meet and greet, I stayed in the dressing room and worked. After the show we headed out to a bar for a little bit till bus call.
That was our routine for the next few weeks, Ash would do sound check, then press, then meet and greet, and finish the day off with a show. We would sometimes go to a bar after wards.

Tonight is the last day of tour before BVB has a break for sixteen days; we’re in Dallas Texas today. Last night Bryanstars called saying he would post the video at midnight and when I looked at the views and comments on the video, it shocked me, the comments weren’t all bad but there were a few nasty ones. I don’t really care though. Today Ashley asked me to be in the interview they have with Rock Sound Magazine. The interview is apparently about the last album and plans for a future album; they also want to ask them personal questions hence why I will be sitting next to Ashley. We are currently waiting in a room for the interviewer to arrive.
“Kassy calm down.” Ashley says as he puts his hand on my bouncing leg.
“I’ve never been interviewed before and I’m kind of nervous.”
“You’ll be fine.” Ashley says while rubbing my back to help calm me down.
“Hey Ash is right you do a great job talking to any band that you work with; you will be fine just act like you are in a meeting at Hot Topics HQ.” Andy said as he too tried to calm me.
“You do a great job with what you do, you have been able to talk to anyone you want to.” CC said sounding a little jumbled.
“I think what CC was trying to saw was that you ca talk with anyone even if you don’t think so.” Jake said trying to translate CC.
“You be fine, we all believe in you and you have Ashley by you side.” Jinxx said.
“Thanks guys it means a lot to me.” I say feeling more confident. The interviewer than walked through the door.
“Hello I’m Alex I will be interviewing you to day. Shall we get started?” we all nod. “Okay if you could please introduce yourselves and when you all have said your names and roles in the band or to the band one of you can say ‘And this is Rock Sound Magazine.”
“I’m Andy and I sing.”
“I’m CC and I play drums.”
“I’m Jake and I play the guitar.”
“I’m Jinxx and I also play the guitar.”
“I’m Ashley Purdy and I play bass.”
“And I’m Kassy I’m their merch designer and Ashley’s girlfriend.”
“This is Rock Sound Magazine.” Andy said.
“Okay the first question is are you currently happy about how well your album Set the World on Fire is doing?” Alex asked.
“We are ecstatic at how well it’s doing.” Andy said.
“When do you plan on going back into the studio?”
“We want to go into the studio between the second and third leg of the tour we are currently on and record and EP. We don’t want to be away from the fans to long but we also want to put out more songs.” Andy said in response.
“Let’s get into some questions about your new designer.”
“Okay.” Andy said, I was starting to feel like Andy does all the taking.
“So how long have’s Kassy been working for you?”
“Since she’s here I will let her talk.” Andy said handing me the mic that was in his hand.
“I’ve been working for Black Veil Brides for a little over two months.” I say into the mic.
“And what made you guys think that she was the best choice to be your designer?”
“We saw what she had drawn up for us after a few days and based on her work and her prier work with other bands.” Ashley said taking the mic from me.
“For me it was the fact that she has worked with Motley Creu.” Andy said.
“I personally loved her work and the fact that she knows us as a band.” Jinxx said.
“I agree with what’s already been said; she is really talented with what she does.” Jake said
“I thought her work was pretty bad ass.” CC said.
“So when will we see her work.”
“I can answer that.” I said taking the mike form CC. “Earlier last week I sent my designs in to Hot Topic so they should be on shelves by the end of the month.”
“That’s awesome; this is a question for Ashley and Kassy. How long have the two of you been dating? I saw Braynstars’ video this morning when you guys announced you are a couple.”
“We have been dating for two months.” Ashley said grabbing my hand noticing I was nervous.
“So you started dating around the same time that Kassy became your designer”
“Yes, that how we meet.” Ashley said as he rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand.
“Alright this is the last question; what can we expect from you this year?”
“Touring and hopefully an EP at the end of the year.” Andy said.
“Thank you for your time.” The interview said, I can’t remember her name.
“We’ve got our meet and greet in twenty minutes.” Jinxx said take the role as the adult.
“Do you want me to stay with you during the meet and greet.” I asked as Ashley and I got off the coach.
“Yeah; do you have your camera?”
“Yeah why?” I asked.
“I was wondering if you could take photos and videos.”
“Yeah I can do that let me just go out to the bus.” I say giving him a kiss and leaving to go to the bus.
I walk through the maze out to the bus; when I got on I went to Ash and my bunk and pulled out my bag with my camera in it. I then walked back inside five minutes before they had to go into the room.
“I’m going to go in a minute ahead of you so I can get pictures of you guys entering the room.” I say turning my camera on and putting in a new SD card.
“Okay sounds good.” Ashley said.
I then entered the room where the meet and greet was being held and was greeted by loud screaming. The BVB walked in and the screaming got louder; I began taking pictures as the started to take their seats. I continued to move around and take pictures the entire time while getting some hateful glares from girls; would just ignore it till one girl took it too far. She said something to me that I didn’t quit catch but I could tell Ash did from the way he stood up in his chair. I walked over to him and said “It doesn’t matter it’s just words they can’t hurt me and besides I’m the one who actually has you.” I give him a kiss and sit him back in his chair and I go back to taking photos of the guys.
After the meet and greet we had a few hours before the show; so we went to the dressing room and relaxed. Ashley pulled me into his lap and rests his head in my hair on the back of my neck.
“Hey it wasn’t that bad I’ve been called worse.” I say reaching my hand back and petting Ashley’s head.
“I know but I just feel this over whelming urge to protect you from everything.” Ashley says snuggling further into my neck.
“The two of you look really cute right now.” Andy says as he fixes his stiches on the side of his mouth.
“I’m not cute.” Ashley says still buried in my neck making me laugh.
“Actually you’re only cute when this girl is in the room or your thinking about her.” Andy said as he turned to face us.
“You are acting cute right know and really sexy.” I whisper so only Ashley could hear.
“Hey have you seen my spiked bracelet?” CC asked rummaging through everyone’s stuff.
“You gave it away last night.” Jake said from the corner he was hiding in with his computer.
“Oh yeah, I remember now.” CC said sitting down “What’s with Ashley?”
“He’s upset by what some fans said to Kassy during the meet and greet.” Andy says.
“Ah, does he know we have to go on in ten minutes?” CC asked.
“No, hey Kassy can you get Ash up and ready we’re on in ten.” Andy said to me.
“Yeah, come on Ash lets fix your make up and get you to the stage.” I say as I get up and pull Ash up with me. As I look at his makeup I realize it only needs slight touchups. I pulled Ash to the mirror and sat him down and sat in his lap facing him. I fixed his makeup and then went to kiss his cheek forgetting I had my favorite lipstick on.
“Ops I forgot I was wearing lipstick.” I say going to wipe it off.
“No leave it, it looks good and I’ll have a little bit of you on stage.” He said pull my hand from his cheek.
“You’re on in five.” A crew member said from the door.
“I guess you have to go.” I say getting up and walking hand in hand with him to the door.
They played a great show and as always their song Set the World on Fire was dedicated to me but this time Ashley said “This next song is dedicated to my girl Kassy.”
They played the last song and then walked off stage; Ash came to me right away while the rest of the guys talked about something in a group off to the side.
“I wonder what they’re talking about.” I said.
“It can’t be good because they are coming over here.” Ashley said with his chin on my head.
“Hey would you to love bird like to play a game of truth or dare on the bus tonight; instead of going to a bar?” Andy asked.
Ash looked at me asking it’s okay and in response is said “As long as you but there has to be at least two bottles of coconut rum for me there.”
“Works for us CC do you want to go buy the alcohol or should we send someone else?” Andy asked.
“I can do it; so it’s three bottles of coconut rum, four bottles of Jack Daniel’s and a case of beer?” CC asked.
“Yep and you can take money out of the bowl on the bus.” Jinxx said.
“Wait what bowl?” I asked confused.
“The bowl we dump money in for alcohol.” Ash said from behind me.
“How about since you all stink, I go buy the booze and you guys go take showers and I’m picky with my rum.” I say going to grab my purse from the dressing room.
“I suppose that will work.” Andy said waking off.
“I’ll get your stuff back to the bus.” Ash says before he kisses me and walks off following the other guys to go shower.
I then walked down to the store down the road and bought all the alcohol for the night, as I walked back I realized I probably shouldn’t look like I can carry everything on my own. When I got back to the bus I kicked the door so someone could open it for me.
“That was fast.” Andy said answering the door.
“I don’t like to doddle, so how many are done showering.”
“Ash finished first, Jake and Jinxx are done, I finished a little bit a go and CC is almost done.”
“Okay.” I say as I feel two arms rap around me.
“Hey, when did you get back?” Ash asked me.
“A couple minutes ago.” I say.
“Let’s get this party started.” CC said coming out of the bunk area just as Jake and Jinxx walked on the bus. I then grabbed one of my bottles and sat down in Ashley’s lap.
“So who goes first?” Jake asked.
“I will.” CC yelled. “Kassy truth or dare.”
“Well since I just opened the bottle dare.” I say taking a drink straight from the bottle.
“I dare you to run around the outside of the bus in only your bra and underwear.” CC said with a devious grin.
“Your evil but fine.” I then pulled off my shirt revealing my corset; I then took my pants off.
“Wait that’s cheating.” CC exclaimed.
“How is it cheating if I wore my corset as my bra today?” I asked taking another drink of my rum.
“It’s not cheating CC.” Andy said.
“Fine if you don’t except it I will take it off.” I then unclipped my corset reviling my back and side tattoos. “Shit!” I say covering my side forgetting about my scars.
“What is it too cold?” CC taunted.
“Ash can you um… get me ah… a shirt.” I say trying to cover as much of my scars as possible.
“What’s that? Do you self-harm Kassy?” Andy asked clearly seeing my side. Ash then handed me the shirt he was wearing.
“Guys just give us a minute.” Ashley says as he picks me up bridal style and caries me to the bunk area. “You don’t have to say anything if you don’t want to tell them.”
“No I will just say I used to but I stopped years ago and I will only say more if I’ve finished a bottle of my rum.” I say as I go and get a pair of pj shorts. We walked back to the front lounge.
“Are you okay Kassy?” Andy asked me
“Yeah and you guys don’t have to worry about me I stopped years ago; I will talk more about it after I finish a bottle of my rum.”
“Okay, by the way I love your back piece and I now know why you love our song Set the World on Fire so much.” Andy said.
“I will change the dare I gave you; all you have to do is run around the bus yelling that you have a penis.” CC said.
“That not much better but okay.” I then ran off the bus and started yelling that I have a penis as I ran around the bus.
We continued to play truth or dare for few hours till it was my turn to get asked for the last time and CC had the question of asking me truth or dare.
“I pick truth.” I say finishing my second bottle.
“Have you and Ash slept together yet? And if not why?” CC said.
“We have not and I will tell you why.” I then proceed to tell them my story. “And that’s why not I find it hard to trust a man and I haven’t slept with anyone since I was twenty-three.” They all looked at me in shock except for Ash who wrapped his arms tighter around me.
“I’m so sorry Kassy that should never happen to anyone; especially someone like you.” CC said being the only one who seem to find words.
“Thanks C bear.” I say realizing I just gave CC a nickname.
“Did you just call me C bear, K bear?” Cc said giving me a nickname as well.
“I suppose I did.” I say as the guys all get up saying good night and giving me hugs. Ash and I were the only ones left in the front.
“Come on drunky let’s get you to bed.” Ash says picking me up carrying me into the back and laying me in our bunk. “Go to sleep we’ll be home tomorrow.” Ashley says as I close my eyes.
