Much More

I love Andrew with all my heart, but sometimes he pisses me off. The man has never watched anime! So I had Ai ship me a small part of my collection. We started with the basics, Miyazaki. So after watching Howl's Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky, Ponyo, Spirited Away, Porco Rosso, My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, and Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, we moved onto some series. First up was Death Note, which I constantly had to pause to try and get Andrew to stop comparing Batman to L, despite the fact that the latter is clearly superior. Even though I've seen it a thousand times, I still cried when L died, and after that we got through the rest of the series pretty smoothly. Then we moved on to the last thing Ai had sent, Madoka Magica.
I was pleasantly surprised that Andrew got really into Madoka Magica, rarely interrupting and watching episodes back to back. He even yelled at the tv screen when Mami died. Then it dawned on me, "Andrew is my Kyubey."
"What?!"
Oh shoot, didn't mean to say that out loud. "Well, you introduced me to this whole new world, granted me one wish, and gave me the responsibility and power to protect the weak, just like Kyubey."
"But isn't the little cat thing evil?"
"Yeah, but still. Plus you haven't finished the series. You're my own little Kyubey."
“That’s gonna be my nickname now, isn’t it?”
“Eh, if you want it to be. Hmm…”
“What?”
“Well, I’ve been thinking about getting another tattoo lately, one to commemorate us finally becoming a couple… And I was just having trouble deciding what I wanted to get. Maybe I should get a tattoo of Kyubey, because you truly are my very own, not evil, Kyubey.”
Andrew simply chuckled in response. “Yeah, that sounds great. This one going to be a UV tattoo too?”
“No, I actually wanted this one to be visible to the world.”
Andrew grinned and gave me a gentle kiss. “So where is this one going?”
“I was thinking on my hand. What do you think?”
“I think that’s perfect. I could even get a tattoo on my hand to accompany yours. Maybe a galaxy.”
“Why a galaxy?”
“Because your name is Celestia and you’re my stars?” It sounded like he was asking me as opposed to telling me.
I couldn’t help but giggle. “You’re adorable when you try to explain your brain. I think that would be amazing. First thing when we get back to California.”

The day after we got back from tour, we headed to Andrew’s prefered tattoo salon and got our corresponding tattoos, Kyubey on the back of my right hand and a galaxy on the back of Andrew’s left. I was really happy with the results, and I know Andrew was too.
