Make Me Feel Alive

I was revved up for this show.
I leaned against the wall, watching as the rest of the guys finished getting ready. I had gotten here a little early so I was done before the rest of them.
I glanced down at my phone. I had sort of expected Morgan to have texted me by now, considering we had plans after the show. I was pumped, ready to play and then get out of here so I could see her. That kiss on Tuesday had left me definitely wanting more.
"Hey, Ash," I looked up as Andy turned toward me, apparently done. "Can you do me a favor?"
"Sure," I pushed away from the wall. "What?"
He glanced at the door behind me. "Do you know if Leah read the card or not?"
"Uh, no, I never asked."
He didn't look satisfied, and drummed his fingers against his chair. "Ask her to come in the hall. If I ask she'll punch me."
My lips twitched. Leah was little but she was fiery, I'd give her that. I almost wish I could've got to her before Andy, but I'd always made it a point never to sleep with a girl if one of the guys had already been with her. Besides, Andy was caught up on her.
"Fine," I owed him one anyway. Which technically since he punched me over me calling him out on being a fucktard to her earlier probably made up for that.
So he owed me.
But I needed an excuse to go over there.
I glanced over, spotting Jake sitting casually, texting.
That would work.
"Jake, man, you haven't met the other guys have you?"
"Uh," he glanced at me, "no."
"Then come on! You'd better meet them before the show," my hand clamped down on his shoulder, and I began dragging him out of his chair.
"Wh-why?"
I ignored his question; we had a mission.
"Thanks, man." Andy called to me.
I nodded, heading out into the hallway. I stepped into the dressingroom, seeing all of Escape from Grace lounging around, Vale the Violent bitching about her hair, which looked snake enough to me if she was trying to complete her medusa look.
I spotted Leah as she stepped out from behind the divider, and raised a brow. Well she dressed up nice.
"Hey guys." I said brightly, and they all turned to look at me. "Here's Jake." Jake stood awkward a moment, forcing a smile. "Hey."
"Jake, that's Vale, Leah, Clarke and Nate," I introduced all of them, and they sent us a wave.
"Cool. Nice to meet you guys. Sorry I couldn't before." He glanced at me.
"No biggie," Vale shrugged. "At least we're meeting you now. Are you excited for the show?"
"Yeah, always am." he smiled.
I glanced behind me, seeing Andy glaring impatiently from his chair. Right.
"Hey, Leah, can I talk to you a minute?"
"Sure," Leah hesitated, then stood up and followed me into the hallway. Jake gave me a confused glance, and then flashed her a nervous smile before heading back into our dressing room quickly.
"What is it, Ashley?" she crossed my arms defensively.
"Did you read the card?" I asked, shifting my weight. Hopefully she wouldn't punch me.
"Yes." she frowned.
"Okay," i felt relieved. "Don't be mad at me, okay?"
"What? Why?" she asked, and then looked over as Andy stepped up beside us. I took a step back as a precaution.
"I didn't know you had that tattoo," Andy said, glancing Leah over appreciatively.
"You never made it that far down," she replied very dryly, and I laughed before I caught myself. Andy sent me an awful look, and I cleared my throat as I realized that was my que to leave.
I got my ass back in the dressing room before I got caught in the crossfire.
I felt my phone buzz and looked at. I felt myself grin.

What time tonight?

I knew she would text me eventually.

I could hear Leah and her guys shuffling down the hall, and a their music started up a few minutes later. I glanced at Andy, and he didn't look as pissy as he did earlier.
Maybe that was a good sign.
