"I mean it just a part time job, it can't be that bad could it?"
"Well I don't know Adamara, I've never worked at a bar before."
"See papa, there's nothing to worry about." I balance my phone on my shoulder and continue to wash the dishes. "I'm still going to school, no te precopes."
"No es eso mija. I just want you to be safe." I smile and roll my eyes. "But you're a big girl now, you can make your choices,"
"Exactly." I can hear his chuckle. "okay, nescecito it a ser un mandado."
"Okay, Ada. I love you mija."
"Me too Papi... Bye." I make the kiss sound before hanging up. I finish to wash the dishes, with some salsa music playing in the background. I dance as I put away the dried dishes and closed all the cabinets that I had opened before. My phone rang again and I look at caller I.D. Before answering.
"Hey Sia." I said, sitting down on the couch.
"Hi! What you doing?"
"Just finished my chores" I look around my spotless apartment, "yourself?"
"Getting ready for work. I heard you got the job!"
"I did! Lani persuaded that manager. Which I'm glad cause I need to pay some loans."
"I'm pretty sure you do. So what you get it on."
"Bartender."
"Oh, fancy!" She giggle. "That's pretty awesome."
"I guess so. I blame my parents for the knowledge of drinks."
"No.. Blame your origin. They make good drinks, but then again... You learned from YouTube."
"Good ole YouTube."
"For reals, well. Don't forget to paint half of your face in a skull.. "
"I need help, I suck at this."
"I think Lani can help you, cause I gotta go to the club. I'll see you there?"
"For sure, bye!"
"Toddles!"
