Come Back Here

Okay, it's been quite a while since I've updated, and I tried writing Chapter Eighteen, which I had just completed, but unfortunately, after I hit publish, it was deleted.

I feel I owe an explanation for my absence: 1) I had finals for two weeks, and granted I didn't have many classes, it was torturous trying to study for my finals, and then periodically getting sick, missing one and cramming extra study time before I took it. 2) Once summer started, my sleeping schedule had been way wacky, my insomnia has been worse, hence leading to writer's block. Although, I had started on this chapter fairly early on, I still wasn't getting the inspiration to write. 3) I just got back from a trip in which I had no internet connection--plus the chapter was up on my computer, and it's not like I could haul my monitor, keyboard, mouse, and the computer portion with me, whilest keeping it plugged in the entire time to ensure the chapter doesn't disappear on me and have to start all over.

So, since it's going to be a pain to rewrite Chapter Eighteen, I figured I'd summarize (don't worry, I write long summaries.)

So it starts off wish Kelly reducing Andy's suspension, so it's placed on Monday--Celeste's last day of suspension, and now Andy's second to last day. They decide that while Renae and Gerard are at school, to go back to the tree-house. While there, they start talking about weird fears, and Andy and Celeste's both agree bees are freaking terrifying, and Celeste admits her fear of playing Bloody Mary. (Basically, she had a bad experience--her and Renae were younger and had all the lights out and Gerard decided to scare the shit out of them.)

Andy laughs, thus leading to Celeste stealing his pack of cigarettes, and only agreeing if he gives her an apology kiss. He does so, and they sit up in the tiny, cramped space, smoking in complete silence. The wind started to blow, and Celeste's old fear of the tree-house falling out of the tree comes back to her so they decide to head back to Renae's.

In Renae's backyard is an old swing set, and they sit nest to each other on it, it squeaking in the wind. As they start talking, Andy sings the SpongeBob theme (Andy Biersack style, so y'know, he screams it.) After they're both done having fun with that, a topic comes to Celeste's mind and she decides it's time to bring it up to Andy.

She basically asks him to come with her when she goes to meet her brother, which Andy agrees to. Celeste is so relived she doesn't have to go alone, and so overjoyed, that she leaps forward, hugging Andy, and going on a rant about how glad she is and ending it with I love you so much.

Andy is shocked, but relieved and happy that she said it. Regardless, Celeste simply nods when he confirms that she said those words--and meant them--and smiles that amazing Andy smile that we all know and love. Celeste comments how it wasn't the way she expected it to come out, but hey, at least she said it back.

Which brings Andy to bring the topic up of the night he came over with the info on Christian, he stayed the night, they slept on the floor, he said I love you to her. Celeste asks him what he's getting at here, and Andy states how he heard what she said that night, when she thought he was asleep.

Celeste is so embarrassed that he knew she said I love you to him and starts asking what's wrong with, why oh why couldn't she say it like a normal person.

After this revelation, the chapter ended with Renae coming home in tears.

Seriously, that's how I ended it.

AND I WISH IT DIDN"T DELETE BECAUSE DAMMIT IT WAS GOOD.

Anyways...yea...
