Growing Up Alone

Juliet sat in the cold white room tightly gripping Andy's hand. They were both nervous but mostly Juliet. Thoughts went trough her mind of what she would do with a kid or if having one was worth it.
Her head was on his shoulder out of frustration as he anxiously played with one of his rings.

"What happens if she says no?" Juliet asked referring to the doctor.

"We'll figure it out." Andy softly kissed her forehead and put his ring back on properly.

The longer they waited the more anxious they got. Andy had been shaking his legs while Juliet distractedly playing with locks of her soft hair.

A cold wind flew in the room and the two of them had begun full attention to the doctor infront of them. Juliet tried to make out the look on her face. Was it good news or bad. She couldn't tell. It was just a poker face.
Then in a split second they both knew. The woman had sat down in her white doctors coat and her face softened. She looked upset. This is the same doctor they've always visited they constantly are getting the opposite of what they want.

"I'm afraid you aren't pregnant. I'm sorry Ms. Simms" Every word that came out of her mouth made Juliet even more devistated.

She slowly let a few tears fall from her eyes and Andy comforted her as best he could. This is the 5th time they tried.

"It seems you aren't able to." The doctor spoke.

"You can't do anything?" Andy looked up hiding his tears.

"There's nothing I can do Mr. Biersack" As soon as she finished her sentence an idea struck.

"There are so many kids looking to be adopted," She took out a card and put it infront of the two, Andy quickly took it.

"I have a friend who has been there. It's a great place. I recommend it the most. If you need anymore information just give me a call."

The corner of Juliet's lips were slowly tugged up. "What do you think?" She asked smiling lightly.

"I think its a great idea but we'll have to see." He smiled back and nuzzled his head into her neck and then looked back up.

"Thank you so much, Julia." The woman nodded and smiled. Juliet was still in pain from the news but there was a new adventure at stake.
