Nicole's POV:

Xavier ran through the deserted streets, trying to make sense of the sights. Everything was in ruins, but that didn't make any sense. Just yesterday he had walked down the same streets, weaving between the sea of people. How could a entire city be destroyed in a series of hours? that didn't make any sense.

The pen was abruptly knocked from my hand, my journal being carried away from me as well. I scrambled to stand up as I glared at the two jackasses before me, silently stabbing each of them in my head. Oli simply flicked through the pages, looking bored, while his companion, Andy, just looked smug and glowered at me.

"Can i have that back now?" I asked, hoping that i sounded braver than I felt.

The two guys laughed, and Oli held the book above his head, "what? This one? You'll have to get it princess," he sneered at me.

I scowled at them, grabbing my bag and discarded pen, before turning away from the two seniors and walking away. They never would've given it back, even if I had taken their bait and jumped for it. Instead, they would've laughed in my face and called me names. I swear, I thought seniors were supposed to be the most mature, seeing as they were heading off to University in a year. i guessed wrong.

I kept my head down as I wandered the vacant halls; it was the start of a new school year, and luckily the weather was still warm, so majority of the students were outside, enjoying the weather. Not me though, I preferred to stay indoors, even on the sunniest of days, usually people ignored me if i wasn't in their way. And that's how i liked things. Being alone I didn't mind, but when people purposely annoyed me, that was another thing.

Andy and Oi were at the top of my 'hit list'. At the top of the school being seniors, they already had something over me. Plus they had a lot of friends, seeing as thy were people that you just didn't mess with. With all their tattoos and piercings, it was clear that these guys were intimidating.

I really don't understand why they care enough about me to make my life a living hell. I mean, I'm a sophmore, in grade 10, fifteen years old. Nothing special about me. So why be assholes to me? It just didn't make any sense. Maybe because i was alone? Or younger than them? Whatever the reason, I hated it.

Oh well. Just another ten months to go, right?

I honestly think something is wrong with me... Like I keep making stories!!!! it's nonstop! Ugh, I have a problem.

So the premise of this one is a high school love story. It's kinda a typical cliché with a twist!!! hehe ;)
