Stitch These Wounds With Me Tonight

[Jake’s POV]“Riley what happened? Is everything okay?” I’m worried out of my mind. It shouldn’t take that long to take off her war paint.

“Well, I got out of the shower and finished getting ready. Before I opened the door, I kind of overheard something… Jinxx was taking off her makeup and found a big bruise on her left cheek.” Riley was in tears after telling us.

“I’m going to kill that fucker! How dare he…” I could faintly hear Jessa and Jinxx crying in the other, I broke down too.

Everyone kind of piled in to a huge dog pile of a hug for a few minutes.
Out of the quiet Ash whispered, “Who’s touching my ass?”

“Guilty” CC said with an unmanly giggle, breaking the sadness.

“Alright, on that note. Any breakfast ideas? Andy, Matt?” I look to them.

“I’m not picky this morning,” Andy looked around to Riley, “Anything you suggest around here?”

“Pop’s Pancake Hut! It’s a breakfast dive, and it is amazeballs! They have a pancake that has bacon, smoked sausage, and a fried egg in it, and it's covered in sawmill gravy.” She’s borderline drooling.

“Because that’s healthy and nutritious!” Matt said sarcastically.

CC looked at her with huge eyes and whispered, “It sounds like the best thing everrrrrrr!”

[Jinxx’s POV]
I move my hand and hold her head closer to my chest and kiss the top of her head again.

“I’m glad I can be here for you Jessa. Any time you need someone, I am yours. Now let’s finish getting you ready for breakfast.”

I wipe away the rest of her tears and carry her in my arms to the bathroom, setting her on the counter. Earning me a giggle and half smile.

“Thank you Jeremy. This means a lot to me.” She looked at me with her huge green eyes and I melt.

I quickly grab a washcloth and run it under the warm water to wipe off any remaining tears from her beautiful face.

“Close your eyes” I tell her softly.

After she does I quickly get to work and cover her bruise and apply a thin line of plum eyeliner.

“Open your eyes so I can put the mascara on.” She does and I feel a little weak in the knees.

I finish with that and reach for her hand, “Shall we join the others?”

[Jessa’s POV]

I take his hand and hop down, “We shall. I hope they’ve decided on where we’re eating, I’m absolutely starving.”

We start to walk out of Riley’s room and I turn to Jinxx, “Thanks for the makeup help.”

His smile is full of warmth and kindness, I can’t help but think one thing… Dylan never looks at me like that.

[CC’s POV]

I hear the bedroom door open and look up.

“Jessa, I’d apologize about the war paint, but I’d be lying. Please don’t hate me!” I grin.

“We’re good Christian. Just expect payback, at any time.” She said with a look that made me shiver.

“Jake, your sister is scaring me!” I whined.

[Jake’s POV]
“Suck it up buttercup, I’m on her team!”

Jinxx looked to me, “Me too.”

“Me three!” Riley chimed in.

“I’m on Riley’s team!” Ash shouted.

“I bet you are Purdy Perv!” Matt chimed in. Ashley and Riley blushed

Andy laughed, “I’m remaining neutral, for sake of my sanity.”

[CC's POV]

“Now that I know how severely outnumbered I am in this war, let’s go get breakfast. FEEEEED ME SEYMORE!”

[Jessa’s POV]

“Where are we going Riles?”

“Do you really have to ask?”

“POP’S!!! Hot damn! Let’s go!” I yell walking out the door when Andy stops me.

“Uh Jess, pants and shoes might help.”

I look down at my pajama shorts and slippers. “Fuck it! I’m going in jammies!”

[Andy’s POV]

“She’s definitely your sister Jake.” I say shaking my head and laughing.

“Huh?” Jess asks.

“Your brother almost left for the airport without pants and shoes. AH, I should have taken a picture. The fans would have loved that on Instagram and Twitter!”

We all have a laugh at Jake’s expense.

“I could not have picked a better brother though.” Jess said hugging Jake. “Now enough sappy crap, CC and I are going to die of starvation!”

[Jessa’s POV]

“What is with the Chester the Molester van? I’m not getting in without candy!”

CC gave me a huge grin, “Oh my God, can I keep you? That’s what I told Ash when we picked it up.”

“Oh, Jessa, I forgot to tell you, CC is our new best friend.” Riley said as she got in the van next to Ash and CC.

“HA-HA! Look out world the Terrible Trio is on the loose” I said with a giggle.

All you heard was chorus of groans. I piled in between Jake and Jinxx in the very last row and put my head on Jake’s shoulder. Jinxx leaned over and tugged my sweater and lean toward him to hear him.

“You need to know that Riley loves you, and filled the guys in on what you told her. You need to show them the bruise later though. I think I’m the only one that’s privy to that right now.”

I looked to him wide eyed, “Jinxx, I can’t...”

“I’ll be here to support you.” He gave my arm a gentle squeeze. His sweet blue eyes saw straight to my soul.

“I want you to think about what I said about getting out of that situation too.”

“I will, I promise you Jinxx.”

So sorry it took so long to update! I've had some massive drama at home and work and I couldn't escape to write or post. So here is a nice long chapter to make up for it. I'll try to write more tomorrow, but make no promises because - 1- I live in Florida and it'll be nice out, and around 80 degrees. 2 - I live in Florida and it'll be nice out, and around 80 degrees. So I will be going to Disney World.

I will be thinking of all my popsicle friends up in the snow as I ride the teacups until I puke.
