The new girl in town

(August’s POV)

I started walking to Johnnie’s house and hoped that he would be allowed to talk. I got to the house and FaceTimed Noahelle.
“Ok, so you’re going to mute your side and I’ll have you in my pocket with the camera facing Johnnie.” I told her
“Ok, I’m ready, muting now.” I put her back in my pocket and rung the doorbell. And I was thankful that it was johnnie who answered.
“Hey man.” I said
“Hey August. I can’t talk for long.” He said.
“That’s fine, I just got done talking to Noahelle.”
“How’s she doing, I miss her so much.”
“she told me that she got a whole bunch of texts from you saying that you two needed to break up.”
“What?! I never said-“ his face went cold. “My parents didn’t want me to date her, they have my phone right now…”
“Let me FaceTime Noahelle so that you can tell her what happened. I pressed the end button on the already made call and I re-dialed.
“Hey August.” She said, catching onto my plan.
“How are you feeling?” she sniffled and a tear ran down her face.
“Like crap. Where are you?” she asked
“I’m with Johnnie, he needs to tell you something.”
“What did he call you over so he could break up with me face to face?” she said her voice breaking. Johnnie yanked the phone out of my hand.
“Babe, look at me.” She looked up into his eyes, with fresh tears streaking her face. “I NEVER sent any of those texts, my parents have my phone, I love you so much.” He said holding up his hand that had a ring on it and a few different bracelets too.
“I love you Johnnie.” She said holding up the same hand with two different rings and the same bracelets that Johnnie had on.
“Babe, I’ve got to go, don’t listen to anymore of my texts until I text you the name I used to call you and things I only know about you.”
“Ok, I love you!” she yelled
“I love you too baby.” He yelled back then he ended the call.
“Thank you August, if you didn’t come here and tell me what was going on I would’ve lost the girl I love.” That touched my heart, Johnnie had always cared deeply for Noelle, but I didn’t know how deep it went.
