The next day they released Johnnie from the hospital, and from there he had to go straight home to his extremely pissed off mom… who hadn’t heard anything from Johnnie since Friday, due to the fact that he forgot his phone at my house and it had died from his mom calling and texting him so much.
“I don’t want you to leave babe.” I said with tears rolling down my face.
“I know, I don’t want to leave either.” He grabbed my hand and it stayed there the entire ride to the airport.
Once we arrived at the airport I got out of the car and pulled all of his bags out of the back. He turned me around and pulled something from his bag.
“Promise me you’ll open this when you get home.” Tears formed in my eyes.
“I promise.”
The first thing I did when I got home was cried, I missed him so much already and I needed him for strength, he was my rock. After crying for about thirty minutes, I opened the box Johnnie had given me, in the top were the words ‘My beautiful girlfriend I will always love you, because your soul is black like mine, and yet you make me feel alive.’ I opened the box to find a few different things. The first thing I found was my rebel jacket… which he had gotten signed at some point in time when I wasn’t paying attention, I found bleach and red hair dye (two things I have been asking for), several different bracelets, and a few rings… the exact two I had been wanting for so many years, one of the rings I knew had a partner ring that said ‘forever love.’ And the other looked like a fishing hook shaped into a heart.
I decided to text Layla
N- hey
L- hey… ummm… I have some news.
N- what?!
L- Rowland and I are together. <3
N-AWWW!!! That’s so sweet!!!
L- ikr!! I got to go, he’s waiting for me, we’re going on our first date!!!
N- Love you girl!
L- love you too!!!!

I put my phone in my back pocket and ran down the stairs when It started buzzing again, it was Johnnie
