On stage

Me and Andy looked at each other, before sprinting into the living room,
“that’s not mommy sweetie, that’s your aunt Nonie” Andy said, as I walked back into the kitchen,
“babe” Andy called,
“yea?”
“I’m sorry” he said, kissing my forehead,
“its fine” I said, pushing him off of me and walking to my room, Ii went back to bed, and laid down, reading my book,

“em” Andy said, walking in the door,
“hey, sorry, I was reading and I fell asleep” I said,
“what’s wrong?” I asked, looking at the concerned look on his face
“come downstairs” he said, then walked out, I got up and went downstairs, seeing everyone in a circle in the living room,
“what’s going on?” I asked,
“we got a letter from Naomi” he said, handing me the letter,
Dear my beautiful family,
As you know, I’ve been here for a while, I miss yall like crazy, and I can’t wait to see you all, unfortunately I will be staying a little longer than expected, but please don’t worry, I am out of harm’s way for the most part, and enjoying being here, I also wanted to let you know that I met someone, and I’m gonna bring him home to meet you, I think it’s time I open a new chapter in my life, I still love kuza, and miss him like crazy, but I think he would want me to find happiness again. Tell the kids I love them, and I’ll be home soon, don’t worry too much about me, I’m happy where I’m at, and with what I’m doing, and always remember, I love you all so much, and I can’t wait to come home, only a few more months!
p.s. I’ll be needing to hit the gym a lot when I get home! Be ready for some hardcore military workouts when I get home!

“so, she’s not coming home as soon as we thought” I said, as if saying it out loud would make it not true,
“I’m sorry” Andy said,
“its fine” I said, putting the note down,
“um, wanna go get lunch?” Andy said, everyone agreed, and we all loaded up and left.
We pulled up to a cheap restaurant, and sat down,
“you guys should really get off your phones” I said,
“maybe later” ash said, as hands covered my eyes,
“who is that?” I said, grabbing the hands, I pulled them off of my eyes and turned around,
“Naomi!” I whispered
“hi mom” she said as I lunged into her arms,
“I thought you weren’t coming home for a few more months” I cried to her,
“I know, I wanted to surprise you” she laughed,
“I missed you so much” I said, as she sat beside me, we ate dinner, and talked for hours,

“yea, he’s visiting his family right now, but he’s gonna come over soon” Naomi said, talking about her new boyfriend,
“can’t wait to meet him” Ricky said with a hint of attitude, causing Naomi to give him a dirty look,
“Ricky, can I talk to you please” Naomi said standing up,
Naomi’s POV:
“Ricky, what the hell are you doing!” I asked, after I pulled him away,
“nothing.” He said, dryly,
“well, could you stop, why can’t you just be happy for me?”
“because! I fucking love you!”
“Ricky! It didn’t work between us and you know that, you’re also more than twice my age and basically my family”
“whatever” he said walking off, great, fucking magnificent,
“nae?” Chris said from behind me,
“yea?” I said,
“look, don’t be mad at rick, we all know he’s a dick sometimes, and he really liked you”
“Chris! He changed my fucking diapers! It’s not going to work!” I said,
“I know that, but that’s not how he sees it, ever since the stripper thing he’s been super over protective of you, and he fell for you, hard, and you kind of broke his heart, he’s a sensitive guy, and sometimes he isn’t the smartest, just try to let it go” he said, then walked off,
“fuck” I mumbled to myself before walking back tothe table,
“you ready to go home Hun?” mom said, making me smile,
“of course”
