On stage

“Hey” I said walking into the kitchen,
“hey” Chris said, Ricky just death glared me and walked out, then all three of the kids started to cry, we all walked into the bedroom and picked one up, then I made bottles, and we fed and changed them, then put them on a blanket on the floor to play,
“I wish I didn’t have to leave first thing every morning” I said, walking into the kitchen after I got ready,

“it’s okay, we are all happy you’re getting an education” Chris said, making me smile,
“alright, I gotta run” I said, kissing all of my babies, then leaving.

*four years later*
(I know, big time skip, but I just couldn’t think of anything else to write about)
“you ready?” dad said, as he put my graduation cap on,
“yes” I said, wiping a tear out of my eye,
“why are you crying mommy?” koda asked, tugging on my graduation gown,
“mommy is gonna go help people for a while” Ricky said, pickinghim up,
“are we gonna go help people too?” violet asked,
“no baby, but mommy will be home before you know it” I said, I had decided to be a military nurse, meaning I would leave the day after my college graduation,
“alright, you did it, you are gonna graduate again” mom said, tears streaming down her face,
“I know” I said, pretty much everyone was crying,
“I have to go now, I’ll see you after graduation” I said, as I watched everyone walk off into the stands, and I took my seat,

“let’s go spend some time together” dad said, as we left the college,
“my baby, my sweet baby, I’m gonna miss you so much” mom said, holding me tight, causing landon to start crying,
“mom, you are scaring the kids, and just remember, I’m going to be helping people” I said,
“I know baby” she said, drying her face,
“give it back!” koda screamed from his car seat, him and landon fighting over a toy,
“hey, you two stop it, landon, that is koda's toy, give it back now” I said, he let go, and pouted,
“boi! You better quit pouting” I said tickling him, we went out to eat, then we all went to my tiny house and hung out for a while, talking and having fun before I left,

“take care of them” I said, hugging Ricky tightly,
“I will” he said, kissing my forehead,
“please don’t go” my mom begged,
“mom, I will be in Iraq for a little less than a year, then I’m coming back for a few months, please don’t guilt me” I said, holding on to her,
“daddy” I said, hugging him tightly,
“let’s go!” a man said from the bus, I quickly hugged everyone else, and got on the plane, waving until I couldn’t see them anymore, here I go.
Emmaliee’s POV:
“Mimi, why are you crying?” koda asked,
“no reason baby, let’s go home” I said, buckling him in his car seat, the kids passed out when we started driving, and so did Alex, Andy held me while I silently cried the rest of the way home,
“she’s tough baby, she will be fine” Andy whispered in my ear,
“I bet you never thought we would be raising more kids” I said, laughing,
“no, I sure didn’t, but I don’t mind” he said, kissing my forehead,
“look at her, she looks exactly like Naomi” I said, looking at violet,
“and koda and landon, spitting image of you” I continued,
“yea, but they look like Mexican children” he said laughing,
“let’s not reopen the wound babe” I said laughing,
“I’m getting too old for this shit” he said laughing,
“are you at least excited to be going back on tour!?!” I said, smacking his knee,
“I’m always excited to go back on tour with you baby” he said, kissing my forehead,
“I guess you two never grew out of that newlywed stage huh?” Chris said laughing,
“never” I said, as we pulled into the driveway,
“let’s try not to wake them up, no one wants rambunctious five year olds running around” I said, as I scooped landon up quickly, careful not to wake him, and Andy and Alex did the same with koda and violet,

“do not let them get hurt in any way, and call if anything happens” I said, as me and Andy stood at the door, ready to leave for tour,
“roger that” Ricky said, as we left,
“wow, this is kind of the way it was 19 years ago” I said, walking onto the tour bus,
“just me, you and the band, no kids, no grandkids, no other bands”
“well, we technically never went on tour without me being pregnant or having a baby with us” I laughed,
“true” he said,

Andy’s POV:
“alright! This song goes out to all of the brave soldiers in Iraq, as some of you may know, we said goodbye to my daughter this morning as she left, and I am so proud, if you have military family, let me hear you!” I screamed, as we ran onstage, and some of the crowd went wild, as I sung ‘world of sacrifice’, then em sang a few songs, we went back and forth,
“I hope yall all have a good night!” me and em said together, as we walked off stage with the band,
“meet and greet time” ash said sighing,
“yerp” em said, making me laugh,
“is that even a word?”
“well, I just made it one” she said, and I laughed,
“nice” I said as we sat at the table, and fans piled into the small room,
“I’ve been a fan for over 20 years, I think yall are great” a girl our age said, handing me a notebook,
“can you date it? I ask you every time, but you probably don’t remember” the girl said, and I laughed, I signed and dated it, and so did emmaliee, the meet and greet seemed to drag on forever, but I was relieved when it was over,
“I’m so tired!!!!!” em said,
“were getting old” I laughed,
“aunt that the truth” jinxx said, we all showered and went to bed, I was almost asleep, when my phone rang,
“hello?” I answered, hearing a kid scream in the background,
“violet won’t stop crying! She’s been like this for an hour!!!” Ricky screamed into the phone,
“give her the phone” I tiredly mumbled,
“vi! What’s wrong angel?”
“MOMMY!!!” she screamed, crying into the phone,
“hey, violet, I need you to calm down baby, mommy will be back soon” I said,
“promise?” she sniffled,
“I promise, and Mimi and pawpaw will be home very very soon!” I said into the phone,
“I miss you” she sniffled,
“I miss you too violet, now I think its past your bedtime” I said, causing her to giggle,
“go to bad angel, I love you to the moon and back” I said,
“love you to the moon and back” she giggled, then gave the phone back to Ricky,
“bro? what the fuck?” he said,
“um, I have that grandpa charm, none of you have it, now I’m fucking exhausted” I said, hanging up, fortunately this was a short tour.

“ MIMI PAWPAW!” violet screamed as we walked thru the door,
“hey angel” I said, picking her up,
“I swear that child is a reincarnation of Naomi” Ricky said,
“how was tour?” he asked,
“it was okay, a lot more exhausting than it was 20 years ago” I said laughing,
“I hear that, don’t you wish you could just go back in time?” Ricky said, making me think about when Naomi was still young.
