The Puppet Master

Jinxx opened his eyes and slowly pulled himself up. His hair was a little messy at the back. He visualized a comb de-tangling the knots at the crown of his head and thought of some plain black jeans and a hoodie.
He looked around, of course he was the first one. What was 10 minutes real-time, yet half an hour in dream time, Jinxx sat and waited. Then Jake came, with his gravity defying hair stood on end.
"Nice outfit. I'm gonna steal that one, it's better than pizza print pajamas." Jake says. He looks Jinxx up and down for a moment and then he is wearing a similar outfit.
"You're gonna need to change something, we can't wear exactly the same- it would be a complete fashion catastrophe!" Jinxx responds with a laugh.
He pokes Jake in the chest - despite how he doesn't need to because he could just visualize what he wants and it happens.- and the image of a sushi roll appears, radiating out from Jinxx's fingertip.
Jake laughs.
Then Andy shows up. He doesn't even bother with clothes for a moment, just stands there in his underwear for 10 minutes whilst he smokes.
"Thought you quit." Jake says.
"I did, in real life! But here I can do whatever I want and my Dragonfly will never be able to tell me off for it." he smirks, a Marlboro still hanging from the corner of his lip.
Andy blinks and is fully clothed in black skinny jeans and a denim jacket.

Next are Ashley and CC.
CC takes forever to get moving. And he's butt-naked.
Ashley has on possibly the ugliest underpants ever. They're zebra print. Trust Ashley.
When CC is finally up he laughs. "nice pants Ash!"
"Right back at ya CC." He says with a smirk.
CC looks down and is greeted by a red lace bra and thong. He smiles "Well played."
"Thank you." Ashley tells him .
Just like the others, Ashley and CC picture themselves in black skinny jeans and dark t-shirts.

"Going alone Ash or are you coming with us?" Jake asks as CC wanders over to his side.
"I feel like going alone today guys." He answers.
Andy shoots Jinxx a meaningful look.
"We got a 17 year old girl in Oklahoma." Jinxx says in response to the look. Andy nods and the two disappear.
CC turns to Ashley. "Are you sure?"
"Yeah."
"25, New York, man. Come on then Chris." Jake says as he vanishes too.
CC gives Ashley one final look. "You don't have to take everyone's burdens by yourself. I'm always willing to take the weight, we all are. You've just been a little off since all this started, since we decided how to do good with this. Do you wanna come to NY with us?" He asks a final time.
"Nah, I, um, have a 7 year old leukemia patient and a 16 year old with depression in Scotland to go see over the next couple of nights." Ashley looks down shyly.
"How long has the 7 year old got?"
"Days at the most. Time is of the essence, Chris. Go to NY and talk a 25 year old man out of suicide, I can hold the hand of a dying 7 year old on my own. I doesn't take much effort." Ashley lied about the last part. It took so much strength for what he did every night, to visit the terminally ill's dreams in their final days, to make sure they died peacefully in their sleep and that they weren't alone when they made their way to the Heaven Dimensions.
CC disappeared with one final glance at Ash.
"Scotland here I come." he whispered to the nothingness.

Ashley was at a beach, where a young bald girl sat watching the other kids playing.
"Hey kid." he said.
"Hi" She muttered.
"I'm Ashley."
"That's a funny name for a boy. I'm Kaelani."
"That's an even funnier name than Ashley! Why aren't you playing with the other kids, Kaelani?" He looked at her, knowing that in a matter of hours she would be dead.
"They might bully me because I have no hair and I'm scared."
"Sweetie, one day you'll learn that beauty isn't about what your hair looks like."
"How? I'm dying of cancer." She spat.
"See, this is where I come in," the salty breeze tickled his nose. "I'm a magician, from the place after his."
"You mean you're an angel!?" She looked at him hopefully.
"I guess you can say that, yes, and I'm here to make sure you get to heaven safely." He leaned in conspiratorially and whispered "But, I think we can have some fun before that!"
"So, are you gonna grant me, like 3 wishes before I die or something?" She asked excitedly.
"No. You get as many wishes as you like." He said
"So, I'm not being wasteful if I wish for ice-cream?"
"Depends on the flavour - I would consider vanilla to be a waste of my talents!"
"I want chocolate!"
"Then chocolate it shall be, oh and one more thing-" A mass of blond hair began to flow from Kaelani's head. "There, now they won't bully you."
