The Puppet Master

*Emilie's POV (in-case the title didn't make it obvious)*

Once again, Ashley abandoned me in a mystery location. He let go of me pretty quickly and didn't say a word. Did I do something wrong? Surely he wasn't annoyed because I did so well on the first test- Ashley wasn't jealous like that, was he?
I began my usual 360 to see what I was dealing with but got cut short by eyes like the ocean, so blue you could get lost in their wide expanse and never return. They were shocking. Looking into them made you feel like he was driving a knife through your soul whilst kissing you- and you don't even care that he's doing this to you simply because you're near him- at least, that's how his eyes make me feel. His face was right up close to mine.
"Um, hi, Andy." I stuttered.
He smiled softly. "Hey, Emilie. Ready to go?"
"Yeah."
He began walking away, I followed. "So because you can't enter the mind of another Flitter," he began " You're going to enter the mind of Juliet Simms."
It took a moment to process. "Wait, what? But how will you know if actually did enter her mind?"
I asked, bewildered.
"Jake's there and I placed something in her mind, a simple flower, I want you to bring it back."
My jaw dropped. "Don't you people watch movies? Ashley with the X-Men and magnetic fields, now you planting things in your girlfriend's head!? Have you not seen Inception!?" I yelled, somehow feeling defensive on Juliet's behalf.
"Yes, I have seen Inception, good movie." he brushed me off nonchalantly.
"You know what happened to his wife in that. And you're just okay with having your best friend in her head? Invading her privacy!?"
Andy shrugged. "Yeah. I've been in her head loads of times."
"I won't do it." I snapped. I was not going to invade anybody's privacy.
"Fine." He shrugged. God this man was infuriating! UGH! Poor Juliet. "Ashley." he called.
Ashley appeared from nowhere. His eyes gleamed.
"What, is she done already!?" He asked with a bewildered smile.
"No." Andy lit a cigarette. "She refuses to invade Juliet's privacy like that."
Ashley wandered over to me, placing his warm hands on my shoulder.
That's what Ashley was- fire.
Andy and I were ice.
Strange thing is, I've had more burns from ice than I've had from fire.
"Are you sure you won't do this?" he whispered.
"Positive." I snapped.
"Thing is, you get a 10 minute penalty for any skipped tests." he gazed sadly at me.
"I don't care. I am NOT doing it. You are NOT going to convince me too." I barked.
"Okay than. I respect that you stand by your morals." he smiled.
Then, he dragged me to the emptiness once again.

I opened my eyes again. It was a solid metal gate. You couldn't hear or see anything on the other side. I looked around, Ashley was still here, I frowned.
"Test 5 is about team work, now we have to wait for Jenny. Do you still have the prism from test 3?" he said in response to my unspoken question.
"Yes."
"Okay, we wait then."
We sat on the floor together.
"I really admire how you stood up for your morals back there." he said softly. I didn't respond.
"You're really pretty, you know." he whispered gazing at me intently.
"Thanks..." I trailed off.
I'd like to say that we talked, or kissed, or anything really- but Jenny arrived then.

I wasn't actually going to continue this love triangle between Ashley, Andy and Emilie (I'm tempted to make Emilie end up single and turn it into Andley- jokes XD) but SaminBVB asked about it, so I'm leaving it in just to torment her. You won't find out until the end! 3:)
