Faint

Summary

Sequel to Numb.
Read book one first or else nothing will make sense.

"Andy," I choked out, "I'm scared."

"Shh, shh, baby, everything is alright. I won't let anything happen to you. Breathe. I'm coming to get you," he soothed.

I tried desperately to believe his words, when suddenly the device was ripped from my grasp, and sent spiralling into the surrounding darkness. I sucked in a sharp breath as my head was forcefully jerked to the side, pain rolling down my spine.

"We're you calling your precious boyfriend?" He mocks in a baby voice, "I guess someone didn't learn her earlier lesson."

I whimper and a sting to my cheek snaps my head to the side. I gasp and muffle my cries with the palm of my hand. The darkness shields me from reality, but a cool sensation at the base of my throat knocks fear through me. When he presses the blade into my neck, I scream.

During the kickoff show that was supposed to start the Black Mass tour, something happened. Something bad.

Courtney, newly released from the hospital, is taken from her family and home, leaving the guys heartbroken. With no trace left behind, the boys are stumped, unable to find her. That's when the letters began to arrive.

Letter by letter, small pieces of Courtney's whereabouts become known as the days tick by. If she isn't rescued soon though, there may not be a body to save.

"I can't feel the way I did before
Don't turn your back on me
I won't be ignored
Time won't heal this damage anymore
Dont turn your back on me
I won't be ignored" ~ Linkin Park

I say just do whichever will make you happiest. Honestly I'll happily read it either way.

Seeing the world isn't like looking at a set picture. It can be whatever you make of it. That's why we write, to create a new idea of the world. Life is an art. It can be difficult and painful and sometimes it's downright unbearable, but even in the darkest hour there are still little pieces of light; like when you sing along to your favorite song, or read a powerful story. Because those little splashes of dark and light turn out to be a beautiful piece of art in the end. On the subject of a book three, I'd say that the last thing I would want to do is inhibit your growth as a person, especially if it would mean reverting back to self-destructive habits. I think you should write whatever you want to write and it will be amazing because you've already proven yourself to be a great writer. You have an amazing gift and I can't wait to see what you come up with next.

:) you are amazing.

I'm actually tearing up a little bit right now. That is incredibly sweet of you to say, especially since I only started this because I just enjoy writing, I never though people would like it like you guys do!

Just one thing though, none of you want to see the world like I do, because it isn't a pretty sight...
