Bite My Tongue

Zoey's POV.
In this hell hole of an orphanage, it's hard to get some piece and quiet. I'm made fun of because my different style. My wardrobe consists of mostly band merch, and skinny jeans. I get called emo because of my taste in music. Honestly I'm not emo, I'm not goth, I'm just weird! I can't even leave my room/cell without having things thrown at me! It's pathetic, my dorm president won't do anything either because she's just as bad. She tells me that if I wasn't so different I wouldn't have this issue... Yeah ok! On top of that I can't take showers, since we have a shower room, not just normal showers. All the other girls throw bars of soap at me, so I have to wait till everyone leaves, the lights are shut off, and the waters cold.
On the bright side, music. There's one particular band that I can always count on, Black Veil Brides. Even though I've never met them, they've told me they love me more than anyone ever has. I've never been told that I'm loved, not even my parents did before I was taken away.
My parents were drug addicts, my mom was a prostitute, and my dad would kill people for a decent amount of money. I didn't have a great life but I know that one day I will be adopted, and I will live my dreams! I will meet black veil brides! And I will be loved!
"Oh Zoey, cool your still up! I thought maybe we could talk." What the fuck does the dorm president want right now! This better be good.
I smile "Yeah, what's up?"
"Ok well tomorrow is a big day for you, Zoey. I think..."
"Well what's so great about tomorrow?"
"A woman is coming in tomorrow with her son and husband to find a daughter. She said her son is in some rock band... I don't know, but they sounded quite weird. I think tomorrow might be your day!"
"You mean, I'm finally getting out of here!" I stand up and jump around, "Me, they want me!!! And I'm gonna have a rock band brother!!!"
"Yes, tomorrow you'll want to look and act your best."
"No problem! I'm going to sleep right now! I'll wake up early and look great!"
"Ok, goodnight Zoey."
