Picture Perfect

When I got out of the shower, I wrapped a towel around me and threw my dress in the trash. It smelled like puke. As soon as I walked out of the bathroom, I was greeted by whistles. CC, Jake, Jinxx, and Ashley were all in the room. I rolled my eyes. My head was still pounding and I did not feel like dealing with them.

“Victoria, you got a little something on your neck.” CC joked and I felt my cheeks turn red. Everyone was laughing.

“Hey CC you got a little something on your cheek.” I told him. He look confused.

“What?” He asked and started feeling his cheek. I slapped him on the cheek. It didn’t hurt him, but it was loud.

“I need clothes.” I stated.

Ashley smirked at me and pulled towards him. I kept a firm hold on my towel. “But you look so much better without them.” He said seductively. However I wasn’t drunk, so his charm wasn’t working.

“Ashley the real Victoria is back, so get your hands off of me.” I said and he immediately let go. “I need to find clothes.”

“I’ll let you borrow some of my stuff. Do you wanna go to my room and pick something out?” Ashley asked and raised his eyebrow.

“No just give me your room key.” I demanded. Ashley handed me a card and as soon as I walked out of the room, Ashley stole my towel and closed the door behind me. I was now standing naked in the middle of the hotel. “Ashley!” I screamed and banged on the door. “Open this door or I swear I’ll kick her ass!” I looked at the card in my hand. It wasn’t even a room key. It was a giftcard to Starbucks.

Then I heard a high pitched giggle. I turned and saw Andy and Juliet walking down the hallway. They obviously just had sex. Andy only had sweat pants on and Juliet was wearing a kimono. I was trapped and didn’t know what to do, so I curled up in a ball to hide most of my body.

“Victoria?” I heard Juliet ask. Concern filled her voice.

“Hi.” I said normally because it’s completely normal for me to be naked in the middle of the hallway.

“What are doing out here?” Andy asked sounding annoyed.

“Don’t you know Andy? Sitting naked in a hotel hallway is one of my new hobbies.” I said sarcastically.

“Andy stop being so insensitive!” Juliet scolded. “Come to our room. I’ll get you some clothes.” Juliet quickly led me to her and Andy’s room. Andy was behind me so the only person who could see my bare butt was him. Juliet handed me a pair of cotton shorts and a tank top.

“I’m afraid that my bras are too small for you. Do you want a sports bra?” She asked. I really like Juliet. She’s so nice.

“Yes please.” She handed me the bra and I went to the bathroom to put her clothes on. The cotton shorts were actually a little bit big on me. I walked out of the bathroom and told Andy and Juliet what happened.

“Those jerks. So immature!” Juliet commented and I nodded in agreement.

“It’s pretty funny though.” Andy said and laughed. Juliet and I glared at him. He immediately stopped laughing.

“Well I really do need to go to work.” I lied. I got up to leave and Juliet’s shorts slip off a bit.

“Do you need a smaller pair?” asked Juliet. Andy looked at me worriedly. Juliet was pretty thin, but in a healthy way.

“No I’ll be fine. I have clothes at my work.” I said.

“Well I’ll drive you.” Andy stated. He threw on a shirt and was putting his shoes on.

“I can walk. My shoes are still probably in Ashley’s Escalade.” I told Andy.

“I’m driving you.” Andy said. It was more of a demand than an offer.

“Fine. I’ll meet you by Ashley’s care.” I said and turned to Juliet. “Thank you for the clothes and for being so nice. I’ll make sure to return them to you.”

“Oh its no problem Victoria. Don’t worry about it.” Juliet replied. Andy gave her a quick kiss and we left.

Once I got my shoes from Ashley’s car and got in Andy’s, he just stared at me. His eyes were full of worry. He hadn’t even put the key in the ignition.

“I know what you’re going to ask, so just say it.” I told him.

“Victoria have you been eating?” Andy asked. “For as long as I’ve known you, you’ve never been smaller than a size 3.”

“I steal a little bit of food here and there from the hotel.” I said. “I’ve only lost a little bit of weight.” Andy pounded the steering wheel in frustration.

“Dammit Victoria. What else don’t I know?” He looked at me with pleading eyes.

“I’m in a lot of debt from having to pay for lawyers and medical bills.” I said.

“What type of medical bills?” Andy questioned.

“I got pregnant and James forced me to get rid of the baby.” I said quietly and my eyes watered a bit.

Andy leaned over the console and gave me a hug. “It’s final. You’re coming with me to California. I’ll get you a photography job and you’re going to live with me until you have enough money to be on your own.”

“But Andy… “ I started to argue but was cut off.

“No Victoria! Let me do this for you. It’s the least I can do.” Andy begged.

“Ok.” I said. I knew there was no way I could get out of this. “Andy about last night…”

“I’ll kill Ashley later.” Andy interrupted.

“But I remember what I told you.” I said and looked him in the eyes. “It was the truth.”

Andy took in a deep breath. “I know it was the truth. What was the last thing you remember before you passed out?”

“I told you how I felt and that I wished you felt the same way.” I answered.

“I want to hear you actually say it.” Andy said. “I don’t want it to be some drunken confession. I want to hear it from you sober.”

“I’m in love with you Andy.” I told him.
