Picture Perfect

It was five minutes before my shift ended at the hotel. Employees are not allowed to used the rooms for obvious reasons, but after hours I take a quick shower and go home to my car. Today however is special and rule breaking is necessary. Andy was coming to town to visit me as well as the rest of his band. I haven't been able to see him that much in the past year since he's been touring and promoting the band's new album. A lot has happened that he doesn't know about.

I took one final look in the mirror. I wasn't exactly pleased with the reflection, but my shift was over and I had to meet Andy at the coffee shop. I clocked out and got in my car and prayed for it to start. After four tries the engine finally roared to life. I checked the time on my dash. I was late as usual.

When I arrived at the coffee shop Andy's band mates were there, but no Andy. Weird. He's usually on time. I gave everyone a hug. Ashley of course attempted to grab my butt, but I was use to his Purdy ways.

"Ashley when are you going to give up?" I asked him and smacked his hand away before it could touch my butt.

"When you finally stop resisting me." Ashley answered. The guys laughed and I rolled my eyes.

"So how was Europe?" I asked them.

"Amazing. The clubs, food, and women are on a whole new level. You have to come with us next time we go." CC said.

"Well I don't see that in the near future." I muttered but Jinxx heard me. He hears everything.

"Why is that Victoria?" he asked.

"I have this huge project for work that's going to take a few months to be completed and since I'm in charge I have to oversee the whole thing." I lied.

"What type of project is it?" Jake asked. Before I could answer the bell above the door chimed and I saw the face I've been waiting all day to see.

"Andy!" I jumped up and ran to him. He caught me in his arms like usual.

"Victoria! Finally! I've missed you so much!" Andy exclaimed.

"I'm so happy right now! So what's new?" I asked.

"Well..." Andy said and looked behind him. Andy is so tall that I didn't notice a person standing behind him. "Victoria I want you to meet my girlfriend, Juliet. We've been dating for almost eight months now."

Juliet greeted me with a smile and held out her hand. "Hi Victoria it's nice to finally meet you! Andy has told me so much about you."

I shook her hand. "Really? That's sweet of him to talk so kindly of me when he hasn't mentioned anything to me about his life." I said politely, but Andy knew I was pissed. He tried to tell me sorry with his eyes, but I refused to look at them. It feels like my heart just dropped into my stomach.
