He, Ashley Purdy, is in love with me.

Little Miss Perfect and The Hot Neighbor.

I stared at him, forgetting what he asked me and blinked so many times. Jackie noticed my discomfort and tapped Ashley on the shoulder from across the table to ask him a few stuff. I slowly advert my gaze towards her and send her a thankful look, saving me from all the disaster that could happen. My breathing was heavy, but not noticeable to others than myself.

"Excuse me, I have to go to the toilet. I'll be right back," I smile and walk away from the trio. Truth be told, I didn't go to the restroom, I left the place. When they weren't looking, I sneaked out and ran. I simply ran. I don't know where, I don't know why, I just ran. Far, far away from the heart-aching scene.

In my whole life, I never thought of being someone's crush, it used to be me to crush over someone. Like Aaron. I really liked him. A lot. But ever since Sam became his girlfriend I didn't want to break myself over my no longer perfect world.

My head was empty, I didn't know what I was doing or where I was going. My thoughts were cleared when someone put their arms around my waist and I stumbled back, realizing the situation I was in. I was almost going to cross the road with so many cars driving. I was going to accidentally kill myself.

"Arianna! What are you doing?!" I looked up from my shocked state and saw the person that saved me. It was Austin. His green eyes were mad, but they also showed a bit of worry and shock. "I... I wasn't thinking, I'm so sorry," I blabber out slowly and let a tear slip down my face.

I don't know why I started crying, was it the death that almost happened or was it the fact Ashley likes me?

"Do you wanna talk about it?" Austin said, pulling me away from the big crowd that started gathering around us. "N-No, I just need some time on my own. Thanks for saving me, I really appreciate it," I hug him tightly and pull away, walking into nowhere again. My weird walk was interrupted by the rain, purposely dropping some water on my head. It started to rain heavily moments later, which left me completely wet.

So I ran home. This time, I didn't kill myself.

Once I found the key in my pocket, I unlocked the door and saw three figures starting to scream at me. I was in shock, numbness and I started feeling cold. The only thing I said, was "Cold."

Before they stopped screaming, yelling, throwing their arms around, I fell on the floor, going into the land of darkness.
