A Love I Can't Erase

I awoke on the couch shivering from the cold. Drawback to being skinny is the cold. No insulation on my bones.

But the right side of my face was warm and there was an arm across my shoulder.

I reluctantly opened my eyes and saw Ashley familiar jeans. I slowly sat up, moving his arm as I went, and looked at Ashley. I had awoken him and he smiled at me drowsily.

"Hey, Ands." He muttered in his morning voice. Mmm.

"Hey, Ash." I half-heartedly smiled back and stood up to stretch. I could feel Ashley's eyes on me. I knew he was only reacting to me being in heat. The man would never stare at me if I wasn't.

I walked off the bunks and pulled off my jeans and shirt so I could climb into bed and sleep comfortably, well as comfortable as possible on a bus. I grabbed my blankets and my Batman plushy and pulled them tight around me before drifting into sleep again.

Andy reminds me of a cat. So smooth and graceful. Sometimes he even has the attitude. When he stretched, his shirt rode up to expose his stomach and I could see the muscles clench and quiver, much like a cat's when they stretch.

Andy muttered to himself as he shuffled to the bunk room where he inevitably would curl in to his blankets and sleep again.

I couldn't get to sleep again, so I wrote a note for the first person up, and left. I walked along in the dark just thinking to myself. I saw a guy who was very attractive. He was tall with black hair, kind of long, and he was wearing a black shirt with a black pair of jeans. I walked past him and the moonlight caught his eyes, exposing the pale blue/grey color to me. I vaguely realized he looked like Andy. I blinked and shook my head.

I continued on until I got to a coffee shop that was open. It was two in the morning, but in this city, there are obviously night crawlers who might like to drop in for some coffee. Just like me.

So, I continued into the shop and ordered some coffee. The waiter at the front took my order and I went to sit in one of the empty tables. I looked out the window absently and just thought.

Andy was in heat, but he hadn't told me yet. Andy told Jake and Jinxx a long time ago. But he hadn't told me. I couldn't help but wonder why he had neglected to tell me or CC, but I wasn't going to pressure him. It was his secret that made itself very evident to my nose every month. I don't think CC quite noticed it, but he did notice that Andy was always staring at one of us or would walk either really close or really far away for about a week every month.

I joked that it was his "man-period" but I knew the truth. I knew vampires went into heat, but only the fertile ones. Andy was capable of bearing children, but he could only have them with the man meant to be his mate. Which I had a sneaking suspicion was me. I mean, I am the one most affected by his heat cycles; he always stares at me the most during it; he always gets closest to me. It's kind of weird, but I don't mind. He's pretty sexy overall. Granted he would look kind of strange with a baby bump, but if it was my baby bump, I wouldn't give a damn. Aw, hell, who am I kidding? Andy would be fucking adorable with a baby bump and the pregnancy glow!

My coffee came and I thanked the waiter as I sipped the warm liquid.

I realized, now that I was away from Andy's intoxicating scent, that I was missing cues around the bus. I barely noticed that CC has been getting really close to Jinxx lately, and that Jinxx hasn't been saying no. It isn't uncommon for demons and angels to get together, which seems to be what is happening between the two.

In fact it is more common for demons and angels to mate than it is for demons and demons or angels and angels. It doesn't make much sense, until you know all the details.

What's weird is, because CC is a demon there is no way he can go into heat. Something to do with his chemical makeup or something. And Jinxx is an Angel. No way for him to go into heat either. But they are both capable of bearing children. Weird, I know, and completely illogical.

Jinxx was prone to blushing around CC, especially when he pulled a silly prank or went streaking through the bus. They were cute together.

Jake was usually the quieter member of our group and he, like Jinxx, knew everything that was going on. Him and Jinxx seemed to know everything that went on, but would tell no one but each other. Jake knew everything because he was gifted with the ability to see into people's minds and whatnot. Disturbing when you are having naughty thoughts about a certain band member.

I sighed and threw away my empty cup and began the walk back to the bus. I looked at my phone and saw it was nearly four in the morning. I climbed into the bus and stripped in the bunk room down to my underwear and hopped into my bunk. I looked over at Andy's bunk, but he had the curtain closed.

I vaguely heard some gentle whimpering and an occasional moan of sorts, but I ignored it as best I could and fell asleep.

"ASHLEY PURDY WAKE UP!" An excited voice yelled at me.

"What, Biersack?" I muttered to the man.

"You have to get up, we have an interview in twenty minutes. I've been trying to wake you for ten minutes." I hopped out of bed like lightning and whipped on a pair of skinny jeans as I ran a hand through my hair trying to get the tangles out. I couldn't find a shirt so I grabbed my Deviant vest and pulled it on. I grabbed my brush and raked it through my hair as I scrubbed my face to get it clean and brushed my teeth as I went from there. I turned to Andy's straightener and saw it was still on, so I grabbed it.


"I'm using your straightener, Andy!" I called to him.

"That is why it's still on!" He called back. I quickly straightened my hair and applied what little makeup I wear and was ready in record time.

"Damn, Ash. Took you ten minutes to get ready. Pretty quick considering the usual time it takes." Jinxx joked.

"Eat me." I growled to him.

"Oh, I'm sure Andy would rather do that." Jake said as he smirked. Andy looked at Jake with a heavy blush over his cheeks.

"Jake." Andy said in a whisper of horror.

I smirked.

"Maybe I want him to." I winked at Andy who blushed harder. "We should get going."

"Right. Let's go."
