Scarlet's POV
I've been trying to write all day, I've just been thinking of Andy. What if he meets them? What if he knows he's the father? What would this do to Alex? It's 3:20pm, the kids should be out in ten minutes, might as well get this over with. I drive to the school and get there just as the bell rings. I wait for them at the front of the school. I look through the windows of the school to see Andy waving for me to come inside. Great! I walk into the building and down to the music room.
"Hey mom." Says Johnnie.
"Wait for me in the car, okay?" I ask and he nods. The rest of the students leave the classroom. And then there was Andy and me.
"I met both of your kids, they're just like you and nothing like Alex. In fact I see a little of myself in them." Says Andy. I cross my arms.
"Is that all?" I ask.
"Are they mine Scar? I need to know."
"Don't know, never got a DNA test." Of course they're yours.
"Can you get one?"
"No, because they already have a father and they're happy."
"But are you?"
"Yes."
"Scar, you were always a bad liar." He tilts my head up to meet his gaze. He gently rubs my blushing cheek with his thumb. "Don't you miss us?" He kisses my lips and I don't push him away. But as we release I frown.
"I'm married with kids, I miss us, but I don't know if you'll be there for me. You left for Los Angeles when I was in the hospital, and you gave up when we found out I was pregnant."
"I didn't give up, you would have known that if you opened it."
"You told me not to the last time we were together."
"Only open it when you're ready, and I hope that's soon." He kisses my cheek and sits on his desk. "You may go Mrs Gaskarth." I leave the room and walk to my car.
"Johnnie, where's Alice and your sister?" I ask getting into the car.
"They went to hang out with Alice's boyfriend." He says.
"Hey, you'll find someone. So did you make any new friends today?"
"Just one, her name's Jessica, she's a junior but she's in my math class."
"You should invite her over sometime."
"Well she's right there." He points to her.
"Go see if she wants to hangout." He nods and gets out of the car. He comes back with Jessica and they both get into the back.
"Hello Mrs Gaskarth, my name's Jessica." She says.
"Please call me Scarlet, Mrs Gaskarth is my mother in law." I say. The whole ride home was Johnnie and Jessica talking. When we got home they went upstairs and I go into the kitchen and go on my laptop. I'll try doing some work.
(One hour later)
I'm finally finished writing the song and send it in an email over to the band. Weird, Alex's not home yet. I check my phone and there's a message.
*Out with the guys, won't be home till ten. Don't wait up.* -Alex
I sigh and order a pizza. "Is Jessica staying for dinner?" I yell.
"Yeah, her uncle will be here to pick her up at seven!" Johnnie yells back. I grab my guitar and sit on the couch. I try singing the new song.

I think it's good. I put my guitar away in my office and sit at my desk. I open my drawer revealing the envelope Andy left for me. He told me to only open it when I'm ready, whatever that means. I put it away and go back into the living room. Even though I'm a thirty-three year old woman, I'm still a child at heart. I put on The Nightmare Before Christmas. Half of the movie in, the pizza came and we all ate. Then I went back to watching the movie and when that was done I watched The Corpse Bride. Then I started to blast music and clean the dishes.
"Do you two want dessert?" I yell. They both run downstairs and take seats in the kitchen. There's a knock at the door.
"That's probably my uncle, so I might have to go now." Says Jessica.
"At least have some ice cream." I say and answer the door. "Hi you must be... Andy, what are you doing here?"
"I'm here to pick up Jessica." Andy says letting himself in.
"Hold up Andy, I'm just finishing this you." Jessica says.
"No don't rush kid, we're in no rush." Says Andy.
"Andy, you want some coffee?" I ask, starting to make some.
"Sure. Thanks Scar." Andy says.
"I'm finished, can Jessica and I hangout till you two are finished catching up?" Johnnie asks. I nod and they go back up to his room.
"Weird how they ended up becoming friends isn't it?" Andy asks.
"Yeah, weird." I hand him a cup.
"Thanks, so Johnnie and Amy are my kids?"
"I already told you before that I don't know."
"And I told you before that you're a bad liar."
"Okay they are but that doesn't mean-" I'm cut off by Andrew's lips on mine.
He licks my bottom lip as a plea for his tongue's entry, and I allow it. Our tongues battle for dominance, and of course he's the victor. He releases and whispers "Until next time." In my ear. He walks back to the front door. "Jess I'll be waiting in the car!" He yells. He gives me a wink and walks out the door.
Jessica walks down. "Thanks for having me." She says.
"Of course, come back anytime." I say. And then she's gone. I walk upstairs, I need to lye down. I pass by Johnnie's door.
"Mom?" He asks.
"Yeah kid." I say.
"Why were you kissing Andy?"
