Mae hugged Andy as tight as she possibly could as they sat on the couch together. He was all dressed, his suitcases had been packed into his car, and now they were waiting for Chris and Sandra to get to Andy's house in the van so they could get on the road together.

They were completely silent, Andy's parents were sitting opposite them, just staring at their son.

"Make sure to call us as soon as you get there." Amy said, breaking the silence.

"I will, mom." He nodded, fighting back tears as he looked down at his beautiful Mae Lilly.

She buried her face in his chest, inhaling his scent deeply. She felt his lips peck her forehead softly and she swallowed. She never knew how painful this was actually going to be.

When they all heard the car pull into the driveway Mae wanted to scream. He didn't stand up, just stared at the wall, almost in tears.

"That's them, baby." He heard Mae whisper. He nodded and stood up, pulling Mae with him.

They stayed hugging as they walked to the front room. Sandra and Chris walked inside, smiling sadly at the couple.

"Hey.." Andy tried a smile but it failed.

"Hey man.." They grew silent as his parents took them away from the couple.

Andy stood in the kitchen, his arms wrapped tightly around Mae's shoulders and hers around his waist. He rocked her back and forth for at least fifteen minutes, talking quietly in her ear about how amazing she was to him.

"You're beautiful, and I love you more than anything in this world, Mae. We'll be together soon. I'll be back for Thanksgiving." She just stayed silent as the tears flowed down her porcelain cheeks. "Shh, Shh." He smoothed her hair down as she closed her eyes, breathing heavily.

"Andy, we've got to head out." Chris said, placing a hand on his friends shoulder. Mae shook her head against his warm chest.

"Baby doll, you are so strong. You can do this. I believe in you." He said, kissing her soft forehead.

"I-I k-know." She stuttered, sucking in her breath as he pulled away and took her hand.

He held onto it as he said goodbye to his parents, Amy crying almost as hard as Mae. "Mom, you know I'll be back soon." She pulled back to look at him.

"We both know that you'll never come back for much longer." She said, watching as his face fell. His father hugged him next, telling him how proud he was.

Mae noticed Kaya outside, hugging Chris to her. They both decided that they weren't suited for a relationship now, but when Kaya and Mae moved out to Los Angeles (a recently decided idea) they would maybe try again.

"I love you guys so much." Andy said. "Thank you for letting me do this."

"Anything to make you happy." Amy sniffled, straightening his shirt. He nodded and felt his father pat his back.

Finally, he turned to Mae and gave a broken smile. He pulled her safely into his chest once more and placed a long kiss on the crown of her head. She felt numb, like this wasn't happening. Like she'd wake up and be in his bed again if he pinched her.

"I love you, Mae Lilly." He whispered, pulling back to look in her eyes.

"I love you, too." She mumbled, tangling her fingers in his locks. "So, so much."

"Forever?" He asked, smirking a bit at the tattoo he saw on her neck.

"Forever." She said, pulling him into a passionate kiss. She picked him Crow and handed him to her boyfriend. He smiled at him and then back up at her. They all walked out to the cars and they kissed once more before he climbed in.

She held his hand through the window and kissed his forehead. "A month and a half." He said, smiling at her.

She nodded, "I love you."

"I love you too, bye Mae Lilly." He said, a tear dripping down his cheek as he rolled the window up. They pulled away and Mae felt Amy and Kaya hug her tightly as they both began crying.

"Bye Andy.." She whispered to herself.

"Andy, Andy! You need to calm down!" Sandra said, her hands on his shaking shoulders. His cheeks were soaked with tears as he sobbed into his knees. They were pulled into a parking lot to sleep in the van for the night.

But Andy was having a panic attack.

"I just left her there!" He sobbed. "I left the love of my life standing in my yard, crying." He hit his hand against the window. "I'm so fucking stupid!!"

"It's okay man! She's alright!" Chris said.

"I have to go back for her. She needs to come with me.." He was crying his beautiful eyes out and both of his friends felt so bad.

"Call her." Chris whispered to Sandra. She nodded and dialed her number as Chris calmed him down.

"Hello?" Mae mumbled, groggily.

"Mae, you need to talk to your man. He's having a break down.." Sandra said.

"What!?" She exclaimed. "What's happening?"

"Andy, can you pull it together to talk to your girl?" He wiped his cheeks and nodded.

"Mae Lilly?" He whispered.

"Andy, baby, what's wrong?" She asked and he sighed in content at her voice but he wished it was in person.

"I miss you.." He whined, pain settling in his heart.

"I miss you, too, Andy but you have to try and keep yourself together." She said.

"I want to hold you." He mumbled, tears still rolling down his cheeks. "I feel like such an asshole for leaving you."

"Andy, I'm alright. I have Kaya and two months until I'm out there with you. You're even coming back for Thanksgiving!" She exclaimed.

He was silent for a moment, "Maybe you could come visit me? Like in a few weeks.."

"Oh babe, I'll try but no promises." She said. "I've got to go back to bed but I love you and am so proud of you for chasing your dream."

"Thank you. I love you." He said.

"Love you, too." She said.

"Sweet dreams.." He pressed end on the call and fell to his side, feeling Crow climb onto his back.
