Something More?

I slept through most of the day, by the time I woke up it was 2 in the afternoon. I got up to see that Jinxx, Jake, and CC were up along with a handful of staff members.
“So… What was the commotion last night?” Jinxx was the first to speak up.
“I’m pretty sure Celes pranked Ashley with a snake.”
“Haha, I owe her a thank you,” CC piped in from his spot on the couch.
I nodded and grabbed some breakfast, which consisted of mostly fruit today. “So, what’s up today?”
“Concert at 3:00, take off at 8:00. If possible consider doing an update video for the fans,” John added from his spot at the table, never once taking his eyes off the news paper in front of him.
I nodded and went to get ready, knowing we would be getting to the venue relatively soon.
A little while later we got to the venue and headed out, but the whole time I had this horrible constricting feeling in my chest. It was like I couldn’t take a full breath even though I knew nothing was physically wrong. I was starting to get worried about how the concert would go with this feeling when Ash drug me off to the side.
“Dude, you look like you’re freaking out. What’s going on?”
“I can’t breath right.”
“Is it physical?” He asked, a hint of concern in his voice.
“No, more like emotions or something.”
“Aw, you’re in love.” I tilted my head in confusion. “Does it feel like something is weighing down on your chest, keeping you from taking a full breath? Does it make your heart ache and your hands tremble? Does it make you happy and sad at the same time? Does it make you give two shits?”
“Y-yeah.” I was a little alarmed by the fact that Ashley knew almost exactly what I was experiencing.
“There you have it. Look man, now is not the right time to stress about this. Figure out who you feel this toward and set it aside until we’re done here.” I could swear that Ashley’s tone held a hint of annoyance in it, but I ignored the observation and nodded my agreement. I was almost time for the VIP’s to get here and for sound check to start.
We headed back to the rest of the guys who were already introducing themselves to the VIP pass holders. The ones who showed up with passes were mostly girls, actually they were all girls, and one of them had a video camera. She introduced herself as Jessica and asked if she could publish an interview with the band on YouTube.
“Sure. Do you have any specific questions you plan to ask?” Leave it to Jinxx to know what to ask.
“Uh, yeah. I-I have a list.”
“Hey, relax,” I nudged the girl to accentuate my murmured words.
“Right. Here it is. A lot of it is just random stuff… And f-fangirl stuff.” I gave her an encouraging nudge. “Ok, do you guys like touring for the fans or for the places?”
“I’d say the fans, what do you think Jake?” I said, trying to include everyone in the conversation.
“Yeah man, it’s really fun to see so many fans. Plus we don’t really see the places because we move so much.”
“Ok, this one only applies to part of the band: do you dislike touring at all because of having to be away from girlfriends or wives?”
Jinxx was the first to respond to this question, “Well, I wouldn’t say that I dislike touring because of it but it is pretty hard. Being away and unable to communicate efficiently for such a period of time can really strain a relationship.”
“Ok, this one also only works for part of the band: Do you meet any girls you’re really interested in on tour, or do you have anyone you are currently interested in back in LA?”
Ashley audibly sighed and mumbled “You just stumbled onto a landmine…”
