Something More?

The show was a lot of fun, as always, and we had a full house packed to the brim with loud and enthusiastic fans. Celes stayed backstage this time, meeting up with us after the concert ended. We did the meet and greets, which were a ton of fun, and started heading back to the bus. Ashley and CC stayed out for a while socializing and flirting, well Ash did the flirting, and Jinxx just disappeared for a while. That wasn’t that abnormal though. Since I was one of the first to get back to the bus I didn’t have to wait for the shower this time. When I got out Celestia had changed into some night clothes and was sitting in her bunk texting someone, I assumed Ai, on her phone. Jake and Jinxx were in their bunks, probably either sleeping or skyping their girls, and CC was now in the bathroom.
I headed to my bunk and collapsed. It seemed like seconds later I heard the bus door slam open and what sounded like Ash and some girl. I rolled over, pulling my pillow over my head in an attempt to tune out what I knew was to come.
I must have fallen asleep because I woke up to pitch blackness surrounding me. At first I didn’t understand why I had woken up, then I heard faint whimpering. When I got up I realized it was coming from Celestias bunk. I leaned down and pushed aside the curtain to see Celes squirming in her sleep, faint silvery rays of light catching on her pale skin. I gently touched her shoulder and she sprang upright, practically hyperventilating.
“Shh, shh. It was just a dream.” I crawled into the cramped bunk and pulled Celestia into a tight embrace. I could feel her shaking uncontrollably in my arms. “It’s ok. It was just a dream. You're in the tour bus, everything is ok. You’re safe, you’re safe. Shh.” Celes was shaking less and less so something was helping her, so I kept whispering in her ear while I gently rocked back and forth with her in my arms.
“Andrew?”
“Yeah, it’s me. Are you feeling better?”
“...Yeah… Thanks.”
“Anytime.” We sat like that for a few minutes before I worked up the nerve to ask her, “Can you tell me what you dreamed about?”
“I… I had a dream that I was back in that alley... only you didn’t come for me.”
I pulled her closer to me. “I will always come for you, I promise.” With this she curled into me and started silently sobbing into my shirt.
I wasn’t sure what to do, had I offended her? So I simply stroked her hair and held her close to myself. At last her tears dried and she looked up at me. I could barely see the glint of light off her tear-stained eyes.
“Thank you.”
I didn’t respond, I couldn’t really. I felt such a strong need to protect this girl, but at the same time I want nothing more than to do most of what I want to protect her from to her myself. The most loving and the most impure thoughts always simultaneously whirled through my mind when this girl was involved. Why’s she so special? I couldn’t tell you if I wanted to.
When my attention drifted back down to earth I realised that Celes was drifting off to sleep in my arms, so I gave her forehead a small kiss before tucking her into her bunk and shutting the curtain again.
I hopped back into my bunk and grabbed my cell, thinking it best to update Ai on what had happened.
Me: ‘Hey, Cel had a nightmare and woke up in the middle of a mini attack.’
Ai: ‘Meds?’
Me: ‘Didn’t need any, she calmed down and went back to sleep.’
Ai: ‘You’re good for her, if it was just me there she would have freaked out till she agreed to take her meds. Be a good boy, take care of her, and get some sleep.’
