My Saving Grace

This takes me by surprise, but I don't resist. But after a second I stop, and he notices.
"Whats wrong?" He asks pulling back.
"I-I Umm, I've never done this Andy, this is the.... Um first time, I've kissed a boy." I finally stagger out. He smiles slightly, and brushes a piece of my hair aside. This movement gives me butterflies.

"We can stop, if you want." He whispers. I don't reject, so he pulls me closer and kisses me again. After a few seconds of kissing, I part my lips and his tongue slips into my mouth. I get a weird, but a good feeling in my stomach. All of a sudden, lightning lights up the sky and thunder roars, making loud cracking noises . A big dark cloud rolls in, and it starts to pour rain. I sequel as the big, cold droplets hit me. Andy laughs at me, and I smack him. "Come on. We gotta go." I say standing up. He stands up, and I notice that he is at least 5 inches taller than me.
"Where to, my lady?" I giggle.
"Well I've got to get home." I say, realizing I don't want to leave him.

"I'll walk you home." He says, as another streak of lightning lights up the sky. I grab my bag, and I turn my phone back on. I have 2 messages and 3 missed calls.
Andy and I start walking. As we walk back to my house we talk and I learn a lot about him. I learn that he is in a band called the Black Veil Brides and he loves Batman. He even shows me the tattoo of the batman symbol. I also learn that he has a little sister named Amy.The rain has turned into a light drizzle by the time we reach my porch.
"Want to come in, and get warm?" He shrugs.

"Yeah, sure." Before we go inside, he grabs my wrist and pulls me close to him. He kisses me, and we stand there in the rain. He pulls back
"promise me you wont try to kill yourself again." I nod, but that's not enough for him.
"Promise." He says again, firmly.
"I promise." I say, leaning my head against his chest. He hugs me and lays his head on my shoulder. His warm breathe on my cold skin gives me chills.
"Lets go inside." I say pulling away. We go inside and I make us some hot tea. We sit on the couch, and I turn on the TV.

"What do you want to watch?" I ask, flipping through the channels.
"Anything. It doesn't matter." I sigh and turn the TV off.
"I've got to go to the bathroom, I'll be right back." He nods and I run upstairs. As soon as I get inside the bathroom, I look into the mirror. I have a black eye, and a cut on my lip. I'm a mess. I go to my room and change into a pair of shorts and an overly long shirt. I quickly wash the makeup off my face and I brush my hair out. After I'm done, I run downstairs to find Andy with his shirt off. I gasp at the sight of his pale complexion. He turns around and smiles at me.
"Umm I took off my shirt, so it can dry faster. Or would you rather me put it back on?" I bite down on my lip.

"No. You're fine." I say smiling. We sit back on the couch, and he raps his arm around me. We sit there for several silent minutes.
"Hey Andy?" I say in a whisper.
"Hmm?" He answers
"I just wanted to thank you. For catching me, you saved my life. And you're trying to help me, thank you. No ones ever done that for me. Most people don't even notice me."
"Shh......It's ok, I noticed you. And you'll be alright I promise."
"What were you doing there, anyways?" I ask curiously. He clears his throat.
"I was thinking about doing the same, but once I saw you on that ledge....... something changed. I felt that I had to save you, because It would be the only way to save myself." I'm stunned.

"That's how you knew my pain......" He sighs
"Yea." I'm confused. "But you have everything, you're in your own band, you're popular and you're kind of hot." I mumble that last part.
"Jessica, I may have everything, but sometimes, those are not the things that make me happy. And what did you call me?" He asks smirking. I smile
"What do you mean, I didn't call you anything." Just then I hear the front door open and shut. But before I can move Brandon comes into the living room. He stops when he sees me and Andy. Andy scrambles to his feet and puts his shirt on. At first Brandon's expression is placid, but then it grows angry.
"What are you doing?" He demands. I stand up beside Andy.

"I-I-I umm, Andy and I got caught up in the rain, and I invited him in so he could dry off." I say.
Brandon narrows his eyes. "Since when does cuddling with my little sister, become drying off?" Brandon asks glaring at Andy, Andy glares back. He ignores Brandon and turns to me.
"Well I've got to get back anyways. Can I have your number?" I nod and he hands me his phone. I quickly type in my phone number and I hand it back to him. We say goodbye, and Andy leaves. As soon as Andy leaves, Brandon starts yelling again.

"Who was that pri-" I'm instantly angered.
"Do you even want to know what happened today?" I yell. "Do you even care?" I say, almost crying. This takes him by surprise.
"Yea, I know you got into a fight." I scoff.
"No, I mean after that. I tried to kill myself......But Andy caught me. He was there and you wasn't." By now Brandon is just inches away from me. He lowers his voice.
"If you really wanted to kill yourself, you wouldn't have been whoring arou-" I gasp and slap him as hard as I can in mid sentence. I run upstairs, tears running down my face.
