We Are Unbreakable

CCs POV

I couldn't even think straight.
I was just driving.
All of this was true. Seth was really her son and she never spoke a word about him. It's like she has this alternate life that has been nonexistent till now.
I finally decided I would go to Ashley's house to get the keys for his Malibu house. I really needed to be alone.
I pulled up to the look alike Playboy mansion and knocked loudly on the door.
Riley pulled open the door and looked surprised when she saw me.
"Oh, hey CC. What are you doing here? You okay?" She said examining my face.
"Umm, not really. Is Ashley home?" I asked shakily.
"Sorry CC, Ash isn't home yet. Come in though. What's wrong?" She asked stepping out of the way.
"I really don't wanna talk about it just yet. I think you need to hear it from Kimber" I said as I walked into the house.
"What do you mean, 'I need to hear it from Kimber?' What the hell are you talking about?" She said following me in frustration.
"Look, I don't wanna say anything cause I want you to hear it from Kimber. I just came by to get the keys for Ash's Malibu house, I just need to be alone."
"CC, you're starting to scare me. Why do you need to be alone?"
"I just need to! Okay?! Do you hassle Ashley like this?! Just give me the damn keys!" I yelled.
Her facial expression looked like I just slapped her.
She sniffled and walked off. She returned with a separate set of keys that held a tag saying 'Malibu'.
She swallowed hard before holding the keys out to me and dropping them in my palm.
"Just return them to Ashley" she said, trying to keep her voice from cracking.
"Riley... I..."
"Just fuck off CC. Leave me alone" she said sadly and walking off.
I wanted to try and spare her feelings, but the words were out. I literally asked her whether she hassles Ashley by only caring. Ashley is gonna kill me.
I decided to just leave. The damage was done.

Ashleys POV

By the time we had finished for the day in the studio, it was 11 pm.
I came home to an emotional Riley. I walked into the living room and Riley was curled up in blankets, with puffy eyes and red cheeks.
"Babe, whats wrong?" I said sitting on the couch beside her.
She looked up at me and sniffled.
"Do I hassle you?" she croaked
"What do you mean?"
"Like, do I annoy you with questions and always want to know things?" She said taking my hands in hers.
"Um, no. Not really. I wouldn't say you do" I said with caution.
"Well then go tell CC that" she said re-wrapping herself in blankets.
"Wait, hold on" I said pulling the blankets off her.
"Ashley! Leave me alone!" She yelled.
"Whoa! Don't yell at me! I'm only trying to talk to you!" I yelled back.
"It's not me you have to talk to! It's your fucking friend CC!" She said ripping the blankets off herself and going upstairs.
"He's at the Malibu house by the way!" Her voice echoed down the staircase.
CC was at the Malibu house? Something must be up if he's there.
30 minutes later I was at the Malibu house greeted to CC helping himself to my alcohol stash.
"Having fun there?" I said stepping onto the deck, where he was sitting with a beer.
"Yep. Peace and quiet. No fucking drama" he said carelessly.
"Yeah, well you caused drama for me at home."
"Oh, dude, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean it, it just slipped out! She just kept questioning me and I just wanted her to shut up."
"Dude! Don't fucking say that! She only cares!" I said yelling him.
I sighed and sat down next to him. "Now, why has all the drama been caused?" I asked.
He looked down at his hands, then took a long drink of his beer.
"Kimber has a kid."
"What do you mean Kimber has a kid? She is pregnant with your kid. What are you talking about?" I asked completely confused.
"A fucking ten year old kid rocked up at our door. He claimed to be Kimber's kid. She comes home and sees him and the look in her eyes was all I needed. He looks so much like her. I don't know what to do. I don't know how I'm suppose to feel. She hid a this huge part of her life from me, and why now? Why is he here now?" CC rambled.
"Wow, CC, that's a lot to hear in 30 seconds. Umm, you just have to talk to her about it. It's the only way you will understand. I went through this with Riley. She had a whole past life that none of us knew about and it came back to bite us" I said trying to level with him.
"But Ash, I'll have her past living with me! How am I meant to be okay with that?"
"You just are. By you running away like this won't help. This kid isn't gonna go away. Just sort it out with Kimber. I promise you things will be okay" I said trying to reassure him.
"Cause things are totally okay with you and Riley. You guys fight half the time and the other half you guys are ignoring the problem! Kimber tells me everything, I know. Your whole Vegas trip has been haunting you guys ever since. She never got over it! I don't want to be you guys" he said taking another drink.
"Hey! What do you mean you don't wanna be us?! We're fine! We have our ups and downs, but things work themselves out! Don't criticise our relationship, you haven't been through half the stuff we have!" I yelled getting frustrated with him.
I got up from my chair and grabbed a beer for myself.
CC soon joined me in the kitchen. His face filled with regret.
"I'm sorry Ash. You know I don't mean it. I'm just trying to process all of this. I don't mean to disrespect you and Riley. I know you guys have been through a lot and I can't compare" he said shamefully.
"Just make sure you say sorry to Riley. She is really fragile and I don't need more problems" I spat at him.
"I will. Do you mind if you stay here with me tonight?" He asked.
"Sure" I said, giving him a half smile.
