Beauty and the Beast

A hideous beast? Not quite, more like a dark, mysterious, handsome, seductive beast. Not all beats are hideous, but they are all evil. Andy was no different. Orphaned at the age of 6 from the hands of the mayor himself, Andy was put into the orphanage. When his roommate picked on him for the last time Andy had set fire to his bed. Within minutes the whole building was in flames. Andy and four other boys were the only survivors. They were sent before a trial and all four were convicted guilty. They were sent out into the dark world to survive on their own. At only 14 Andy and his friends were starving in the forest. They had no shelter and no food.

They soon found an old castle that would fit their whole village. They merely survived for only a few weeks before one of the boys, Jinxx, came to the others with a book that would teach them how to light a candle with no match, how to snap a neck with no force. Ashley, Jake, and CC would read, learn, and grow with every word of this book. Andy did not want anything to do with it. He had grown cold, harsh, and mercy less.

Two years after their banishment a man wearing rags approached their door. Andy answered with disgust. The man asked for food, crumbs really. Andy told the man to find his own food and he closed the door on him. The man threw the door open and slapped Andy across the face, leaving him with three bloody scratches. The man told Andy to find mercy and love in his heart, and to have someone else do the same to him in turn by the age of 25 or he will forever be cursed to wonder the land, a Beast.

Andy thought nothing of it. The man was sent away and Andy lived his life…until 30 days later. In the middle of the night, when the moon was the most clear, Andy felt a pain he had never discovered. He changed, he grew mangled fur, hideous fangs, and monstrous claws. He left his castle in the dead of night. In the morning he would find himself in the middle of the dark world. Three bloody, dead bodies around him. With no memory he assumed the worst, and he was right. For the next 8 years this would happen to him every 30 days. His four friends would let him hunt once a year, to fill his growing appetite. The rest of the time he was chained in to dungeon until the moon rose.

Andy would be giving up hope. He only had one year left. And no one was ever going to show love, or mercy. And he would never do the same. The monster inside of him was seeping through his monthly confines. Andy was becoming the beast he feared the most.
