My Own Downfall

I went to bed in my old room that night and thought about a baby running around. Not pretty... Always breaking things. Slobbering everywhere. Not really my cup of tea. I like kids sometimes though.
When I woke up that morning I changed into a pair of black jeans and a Nirvana shirt. I went downstairs and Rhea was talking on the phone in the kitchen. I grabbed a Cutie and started peeling it. She hung up the phone and turned to me. "Scar, I have to go to the doctors today and take a test to see who the father is and I'm nervous." She said to me. "Oh jeez, don't make me go with you!" I yelled. She stuck out her bottom lip and pouted. "Please?" She said and battered her eyelashes. "That doesn't work in me, but because I'm your best friend I'll go with you." I said and threw my uneaten orange away. I went and combed my red long hair and a flashback of my parents death flooded into my mind. I stood there for a second and cried. After about five minutes Rhea came in and comforted me.
At 4:30 we were out he door headed for Dr. Arnold's. When we got in the car and were driving down the road, Rhea brought up a sensitive subject. "I feel bad about your relationship with Andy." She said. I opened my mouth to say something but then I immediately closed it. "You guys were perfect together." She said. "Stop. Okay just stop. I don't wanna talk about Andy." I said and faced the window. We pulled up at the doctors office ad went and sat in the waiting room. After a while the nurse came out to retrieve Rhea. When I stood up the nurse looked at me. "Hon, you can't go in there with her." She said and turned to walk away. "No I'm gonna do whatever the hell I want because I'm not leaving Rhea." I said. The nurse turned and there was a look of shock on her face. "I'll step out for the nasty part but otherwise, I'm not going anywhere." I said. She nodded and looked defeated. Then she lead me and Rhea to the back room. "Ello' there Rhea. And Scarlet?" He said. "She's in here because I need her." Rhea said and Dr. Arnold nodded. "Please lay down on here." He said and pointed to a bed looking thing and pulled out some sort of kit looking thing. "You may want to exit the room for this." He said. I nodded and my stomach clenched. I walked out the door and stood in the hallway. "Hello there hot stuff." Some guy said. I turned to my right and saw and black hair green eyed 12 year old. "No." I said and continued staring at the wall. "Ooh, she's feisty." He said. " you better shut the fuck up before I take your head and bash it into the wall." I said. He looked at me shocked and hobbled away. I smiled and the door opened and the doctor came out. "You may go back in now." He said. Then he followed me in. "Okay I have the results. And you can have them now or wait if you want too." Dr. Arnold's said. "I want them NOW." Rhea said. He printed out a piece of paper and handed it to her. Her eyes went wide and her mouth opened. "Oh my god." She said and turned the paper over and cupped her mouth. "What? Who is the daddy?" I asked her. She handed me the paper and what I read was flat out crazy. The father was Ashley Purdy. Holy shit.
