Those Dumb Fan Fiction Moments

In My Defense...For 1 Commenter *Not A Rant*

So, I got a comment that's been nagging at me.

The girl told me off about what I've been writing. She said that I haven't read all fan fiction so, I shouldn't be so quick to judge. (I'm not trying to single her out. I didn't want to write this in the comments because it's way too long).

Here is my defense for her:

Yes, we've all read stories that have different characters and plots. We've all read stories that are different, to cut it short.
I was one of the first people that joined the site, you may've been too, I don't know.
I know I haven't read all fanfic stories, but I have seen a lot of flaws and repeats.
Every story has a flaw or repeat in some way. Sometimes you can't help but add in a part that was similar to a fanfic you had just read.
But, when it occurs one hundred times over again in each different story, it needs to be noted.
I'm not quick to judge. I've been scrolling through multiple pages of stories and clicking on each one to see if it spark some interest in me, for years. I've read all kinds of chapters for all kinds of different stories.
Some are just the same because of other people or stories that influence them.
Since (in my opinion) these things need to be noted, I decided to do it in a creative way. I decided to crack jokes about it. I never try to be offensive, because that's not a good look for you, nor does it make you a good person.
Most people enjoy the fact that I'm bringing these subjects to the light in an entertaining way, and there's people like you who dismiss mostly everything and say what you did (I'm not saying that's bad, I'm just using you as an example for the other group of people).
That whole joke about BOTDF, I'm sorry that offended you. Most people don't like them. I knew there were some people who did. It wasn't intended to be mean or offensive, most people know I'm joking around and that it's nothing to get fussy over.
The title and the mini summary says it all. If you didn't want to hear about these things, maybe you shouldn't have considered reading this to begin with.
Good day, ma'am.

I miss these :3

I currently have two stories ongoing on this site , and my roomie posts her stuff on Wattpad , and we've noticed a theme with the fanfics on both sites . We've reached the conclusion that roughly 90% of the stories are written with a main character who is a self - harming depressed emo chick , who is either abused by her parents or lives in an orphanage . Are people trying to say that these are the only type of girls who are interested in BVB ? If I read one more of these , I may run shrieking into the streets .

Not all of them . The OFC in my story is 5'10" tall , only an inch shorter than Ashley . She also has curly , normal color hair , a real job , and a non - standard name , WITH a middle name . Plus a normal family who doesn't hate her . So I suppose that makes her the anti - Christ of fanfic characters , right ?
