Hot Mess at Hot Topic
Raven’s POV
That morning, after choking down breakfast, Andy called a driver to take us to the mall. The drive was fairly decent, atleast, until the song “Anaconda” by Nicki Minaj came on. I hate that song. I hate it with a passion. “Please turn this monstrosity off. It’s going to kill me.” I say. CC just grins and begins to sing along with the chorus, horribly. Finally I give in and laugh with everyone else. Soon after, we arrive at the mall.
Walking in was a disaster because if there was a fangirl within a hundred mile radius, they saw us. Of course, when they saw Alex holding Andy’s hand and CC holding mine, they got pissed off and tried to flirt with them. Alex looked extremely worried because I knew she thought these girls were prettier than her. They weren’t prettier than her but they were most definitely prettier than I am. After the guys practically pushed them away, we walked to Hot Topic. While the guys talked to the star struck cashier, Alex and I browsed through the clothes. We chose about ten outfits each that could hold us over until we got back to California and we each picked out a nice dress in case a date or something comes up. “Raven… What about underwear?” Alex whispered. I jog to the back of the store where they kept those kind of items and grabbed bras and underwear for both of us. Being best friends helps in these situations because Alex is really, really shy so when we would go school shopping (once our moms let us out of the house) I could grab her undergarnments.
“I got em. You ready?” I ask her. She nods and we head over to where the guys are talking. “We are ready.” I say. The cashier, still in awe, looks at us, and then at Andy and CC.
“I can uhm… give you the store discount… My manager would be totally fine with it. It’s a seventy five percent discount off of your entire purchase.” The cashier chokes out. He begins to scan each item and tries to maintain eye – contact with the guys the whole time. Once they pay, the guys want to take us to the food court.
“I’m not really hungry…” I say. Alex glances at me.
“Me neither. That breakfast was plenty.” Andy and CC look at each other, then look at us. “Really guys. We are fine. Let’s just go back to the bus.” Alex says. Walking back to the car, commotion breaks out.
“OH MY FUCKING GOD! CC?!” A voice yells. A female voice. I spin on my heels to see who is calling and it takes me a second to realize it’s Lauren, CC’s ex, and Juliet, Andy’s ex. “WHO THE FUCK IS THIS?” Lauren yells when she catches up to us.
“This is my girlfriend, Raven.” CC says calmly. Alex is wide eyed, staring right at Juliet. “And last I recall, I told you not to come near me ever again.”
“Well, I just wanted to let you know that I still love you and I really want you ba-“ I don’t let her finish.
“Look, bitch. I don’t know what the fuck happened with you and CC, but obviously it wasn’t fucking good. Now, I suggest you take your tight ass and walk the fuck on.” I spit out. I can’t stand her. I never have.
“Fuck you.” She says. Really? That’s the best she’s got? Just as I start to say something else, Alex stops me.
“Raven. She isn’t worth it. Let it go.” She says. Juliet is watching her and Andy like a hawk.
“Hi, I’m Juliet, Andy’s ex. Who might you be?” She asks Alex. Alex looks at Andy, and with the most courage I’ve heard her with all year, she says:
“I am Andy’s current girlfriend, Alex.” She says. Andy smiles at her and pulls her close. So cute. NOT THE TIME FOR THIS RAVEN.
“Nice to meet you. Nice seeing you again, Andy. And Raven, I am so sorry about Lauren. She can tend to be a bit of a bitch.” She says before walking off. CC grabs my hand and pulls me to the car. If it wasn’t for his hand being an anchor, I would run after that bitch. Once we get in the car, we sit in a relieving silence. Until my phone vibrates. It’s a twitter notification, and who else is it other than the bitch herself.
