[Part Sixty-Seven] Doorbell
...A Few Weeks Later…
Andy’s POV:
I was making dinner while Alex was at the table doing his homework. I brought the big bowl of mac ‘n cheese to the table along with two other small bowls.
“How are you doing with your homework?” I asked him and he shrugged.
“It’s math. Confusing, but I think I understand it.” Alex said and I nodded. I served him some and he closed the hardcover, starting to eat.
Halfway through dinner, the doorbell rang.
“I’ll get it,” Alex said, pushing his chair out and getting up. He opened the door and I leaned back, glancing at who it was.
“Hi Alex...I’m...I’m your mother…” I heard the familiar voice say and I shot up from my chair.
I thought she died.
