ok whos number was this? i answered anyhow, see who the hell it was.
"hello..." i asked
"Alex, its me ash, cc gave me your number," of course cc would. oh well see with ash wanted.
"whats up? something wrong with carolyn? what happened?"
"no no shes okbut i need to talk to you, could you meet me at starbucks in like 10 minutes? the one in that big shopping bit by the venue we played last night?"
"yeah, ok, give me 10 minutes,"
"okay thanks man, in a bit,"
i hung up grabbed my phone wallet and car keys, then drove off to meet ash. what would he want? i mean whats going on....

the moment i walked in, i could clearly see which one was ash. he had eyeliner no, a black tshirt and some ripped skinnies on with some converse. he stood up and i walked over i took a seat opisite him and started to talk about what was bothering him.
"do you and carolyn have something going on?" he asked scared to ask by looks of it. he was was studying my face waiting for an answer.
"nah, nah man, we're just friends,"
"you sure? i mean from where i was standing, it looked like some feelings were there?"
"im just looking out for her. after her brother -" i stopped myself before carrying on. it wasnt my place to tell ash what happened to carolyns older brother, leo.
"what? what happened to the guy?" he looked genuinly concerned, so i told him.
"Leo was urm, he was, he was killed in a car accident. Carolyn was in the car but she lived. they were on thei way home from their big day out with some of his friends and on the way back a drunk driver crashed into them. hit the back of the car and leo got carolyn out of the car, ran to the other side so that she didnt get hurt any more and he got more of the impact. they were taken to the hospital and while carolyn was getting check out her brother died.. bleeding internally. she blamed herself, she thinks if she let them examin him first, he would have been saved..it happened when she was younger, i think she was about, urm 10...but she stll cant get over it yet... dont tell her you know just be careful what you say," i said, i shouldnt have said but to be fair he needed to be told.
"oh..."
"yeah so just please, look after her, make sure shes safe..."
"i promise i will, and you think its ok to ask her to come on tour with me? warp tour?"
"she'll go. my bands on it so yeah..."
"what about if i ask her to come as..my girlfriend,"when he said that, i felt my heart shatter. that was what my plan was before he came along, oh well, il be fine, il get over her..somehow.
"do it man, she'll love it, just make sure she goes to my sets!" i laughed trying to make a joke outta it, " and ask her soon! she really likes you," i smiled. as much as this hurt, i knew she would be happy and he would make sure she was safe.
"thanks for the blessing, sure its defiantly ok?" he asked, not gunns lie, i respect how he was treating the situation, he was a good guy, leo would approve.
"dude its honestly cool, just go make her happy, she told me about your date, ask her, she'll say yeah, promise," i smiled and shook his hand. we staeyd and talked about warp tour until carolyn, called ash to say she was ready, we said bye and both left. i texted jack, my best guy friend - ' look i need a friend, get rian and zac, meet me in hot topic asap! need someone right now :'( '
he text back instantly - ' be there in five! calm down, be there asap, promise x'
